JoJo Siwa Makes Red Carpet Debut With Boyfriend Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa is taking the next step in her relationship.

Former Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler attended the Dancers Against Cancer Gala in Los Angeles on October 21st with her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, marking their first red carpet appearance together.

Chris and JoJo, who began dating after meeting on Celebrity Big Brother UK in April, showed off their affection at a charity event. Chris kissed JoJo on the cheek while she smiled and held his chest.

I was absolutely captivated by what they wore! Karma, the singer, looked stunning in a classic black gown – the pearl detailing around the neckline was just gorgeous. And the Love Island UK star? So chic! They wore a sweet brown polka dot shirt tucked into high-waisted white pants, and the whole look was perfect.

Before walking the red carpet as a couple, Chris surprised JoJo by telling her she would be receiving a Humanitarian Award from the organization that very night, leaving her almost unable to speak.

I honestly couldn’t believe it when I heard! I was listening to the TopMob News interview with Chris, and when he made the announcement, I just blurted out, ‘Wait, really?’ I’m still completely shocked, to be honest.

Thirty-two-year-old Chris shared how incredibly proud he was of JoJo for consistently supporting and lifting up other artists throughout her career.

“I’m gonna be a proper mess onstage,” the 32-year-old told her. “You should be very proud.”

JoJo responded with a giggle before praising her boyfriend of several months.

“I’m sorry,” she replied, “I know I shouldn’t be laughing right now but you’re so cute.”

The former contestant on Dancing With the Stars has talked before about feeling very secure and happy in her relationship with Chris.

In June, she told TopMob that being with Christopher has always felt right. She’s never doubted her feelings for him, which has meant she’s consistently felt happy and secure in their relationship, and she considers that a wonderful thing.

JoJo shared that simply thinking or talking about him fills her with happiness.

August 1st, 2020 was an exciting day for JoJo Siwa, who was 17 at the time, as she publicly shared who she was dating. She was thrilled to finally have a boyfriend, even more so than her previous crushes on actors Patrick Dempsey and Zac Efron.

The former Dance Moms star excitedly told Jessalynn Siwa about the musician, saying she couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

But by that November, the pair were no longer in harmony. 

JoJo Siwa spoke out on Instagram to defend her former boyfriend, Mark. She said he doesn’t deserve the negativity he’s receiving and asked people to support him. Siwa explained that the public doesn’t know the full story of their relationship, how much joy they shared, and how happy they were together. She clarified that they simply decided it was best for them to go their separate ways, and that was the only reason for the split.

JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew first became friends on a cruise in 2020, but their relationship blossomed a year later. Siwa announced on Instagram in February 2021 that she had started dating Prew, calling her an exceptional person.

Siwa also thanked her girlfriend, calling her incredibly supportive and saying she inspired her to be authentic. She had previously collaborated with Pride House, a group of LGBTQ+ TikTok creators, and posted a video of herself dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” She was considering sharing a photo of a new t-shirt that read “Best Gay Cousin Ever.”

JoJo Siwa explained on The Tonight Show that she wasn’t sure about posting a picture on her Reels story, but a friend gave her enthusiastic encouragement. ‘Just do it!’ the friend said, and Siwa decided to go ahead and post it.

JoJo Siwa and her former partner moved in together, a decision Siwa now regrets, according to her April 2024 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast. They broke up in October of that year, but shared one last dance together in 2022.

I’m still really close with Prew – he’s a great friend! We actually talk all the time, which is wonderful. It means a lot to have that consistent connection.

JoJo Siwa revealed in March 2022 on the Rachel Uncensored podcast that she’s in a relationship and isn’t looking to date anyone else, stating she’s a ‘loyal lady’.

She’d played the field, she continued, and snagged herself a catch in Katie Mills. 

You know, I’ve really been on a journey lately. I’ve put in a lot of effort, and honestly, I’ve grown so much from the experience. I’m incredibly happy with where I’ve ended up – it feels really good!

But safe to say her romance with the TikToker wasn’t all fun and games. 

After Siwa shared a video in March 2023 criticizing past relationships for excessive flattery and attention-seeking, Mills responded with some pointed comments of her own.

She publicly spoke out on TikTok that month, saying she was finished staying silent. She questioned how someone could profess love for another person and then suddenly cut off all contact, only to later accuse them online of seeking attention and being overly affectionate. She admitted she didn’t understand the behavior.

Let me tell you, from what I understand, JoJo Siwa was actually the one who first shared their relationship with the world. But what really stood out to me was how respectful Kylie Prew was – she always asked JoJo if it was okay to post anything about them together. And Kylie was adamant about this, even saying she has the text messages to back it up, so she’s definitely standing her ground!

It’s clear that Avery Cyrus, who briefly dated JoJo Siwa in 2022, hasn’t become a major star herself.

To mark their 12-year anniversary, the singer described her life with her partner as a dream. In an October interview with TopMob News, she explained that their personalities blend perfectly, which she considers crucial in a relationship. She also shared that her partner’s positivity lifts her spirits, and she believes she has a similar effect on her partner.

Things shifted in December, though. Just two days after Miley Cyrus announced their breakup, JoJo Siwa hinted online that someone had used her popularity for their own gain.

She expressed feeling exploited for attention and social media popularity in a December 2022 video her mother posted. She explained she was deceived into believing someone cared for her and felt deeply hurt and manipulated.

For Cyrus, though, their dalliance wasn’t a game. 

We ended things with JoJo on good terms and remain friends,” she told TopMob News. “Our connection was genuine, and I care deeply for JoJo and her family.”

Dakayla Wilson finished as a runner-up on season 18 of So You Think You Can Dance, but she clearly made a big impression on judge JoJo Siwa. Siwa revealed in an August TikTok video that she and Wilson became a couple after Siwa took time off from her work to help Wilson teach a dance class, calling Wilson her ‘All Star Assistant’.

For months, Wilson was a wonderful dance partner. JoJo Siwa revealed he supported her desire to have triplets and generously spent $30,000 to celebrate her 19th birthday with a trip to Hawaii.

“I’m completely in love with her,” the former Nickelodeon star told TopMob News. “She’s an amazing person, and I feel so fortunate to have her in my life.”

But it turned out that Wilson wasn’t all Siwa wanted for Christmas. 

JoJo Siwa shared with People magazine in November 2024 that she and her former partner have split up, but she still thinks highly of her. Siwa also mentioned she has her own plans for the holidays, and her ex-partner is spending the holidays with her family.

Siwa publicly announced she was dating Kath Ebbs in January 2025, referring to the Australian content creator as her girlfriend.

Ebbs showed their affection in return, sharing kissing photos on social media that same month. They celebrated their connection with a joyful Instagram post, saying, “A little queer joy for your feed!”

Just three months after that, Ebbs shared that they actually broke up at the wrap party for Celebrity Big Brother UK.

In an April 2025 TikTok, Ebbs explained that she’d been told there were mixed emotions about her, and that the other people involved had come to the conclusion they didn’t see a long-term future with her.

However, Siwa emphasized that this wasn’t a situation where she could easily be substituted, even though she was close to fellow housemate Chris Hughes.

While filming, JoJo Siwa realized she had time to think without distractions. As she explained on ITV’s This Morning with Phillip Hughes, this allowed her to recognize things in her life she’d previously accepted that she shouldn’t have. She realized she needed to make some changes.

Siwa didn’t win Celebrity Big Brother UK, but she gained something even better during filming in spring 2025: a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Chris Hughes.

She excitedly told Keltie Knight of TopMob News at the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe on May 21st that Christopher is her favorite person to talk about, quickly adding that she didn’t mean to refer to him as a ‘thing.’

And, yet, she kept reiterating, they were just friends. Until they weren’t. 

Okay, so she finally said it! In an interview last June, JoJo Siwa admitted it’s not just friendship with him anymore! She said it’s been the most amazing thing, a truly beautiful connection, and honestly? She’s totally, completely in love – and get this, he feels the same way! I knew it! I just knew they had something special!

She still feels the term “queer” best describes her identity, but ultimately she focuses on connecting with people as individuals, rather than getting caught up in labels.

JoJo Siwa pointed out that there are many different ways people identify in terms of sexuality. She believes it’s wonderful when someone figures out who they are.
