Naruto Reveals Shocking Reason Why Sarada Uchiha Dodged Eida’s Power in Latest Chapter

I’ve been following the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, and even though we don’t have an anime yet, the story is really taking off! The creator, Masashi Kishimoto, and artist Ikemoto are going in some unexpected directions. It’s all about Boruto trying to break free from the mind control Eida put on everyone, and she’s still incredibly powerful. Most people are fooled by her ability to change reality, but Sarada and Sumire somehow resisted. The newest chapter finally explains why Sarada was able to avoid Eida’s mental control, and it’s pretty interesting!

Please be aware that this discussion contains major spoilers for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Chapter 27. After discovering Sumire and Sarada were pretending to be under her control, Eida explains why they – and others in Konoha – weren’t affected by her power. Eida realizes Boruto’s friends remained unchanged because of her own abilities. She points out it’s strange that anyone not from the Ōtsutsuki clan could resist her power, and wonders if Boruto’s feelings for them are the reason. However, she acknowledges that can’t be the only explanation, as many people both inside and outside the village care about Kawaki and Boruto.

Eida continued, “If that’s all it takes to avoid my power, there should be others like you, but there aren’t. It’s just the two of you, meaning I must have subconsciously excluded you both. I unknowingly wished for it, and because of my power, it came true. Sarada, do you remember when you said you just wanted to be ordinary friends? That made me so happy – it’s what I’d always wanted, even before I met you.”

Eida’s Unconscious Fumble

After realizing what happened, Eida tries to understand why she allowed the two to escape her control. She wonders if it was because they all shared a connection to the Ōtsutsuki clan. Ultimately, she admits it felt like the normal relationship she’d always wanted. She believes they wouldn’t hurt her now, and surprisingly, she wouldn’t even mind if they were the ones to end her life.

In a surprising turn of events, Sumire and Sarada both accepted Eida’s hug, showing their genuine friendship with the former enemy who is now a tentative ally to Konoha. Meanwhile, Konoha is still battling a much larger threat: the Divine Trees, powerful new villains endangering both Konoha and the Kara organization. Although there are no plans to adapt the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex arc into an anime yet, the situation in Konoha is rapidly escalating.
