Dylan Efron can bet on his brother Zac Efron‘s support—even from afar.
Oh my gosh, Dylan is killing it on Dancing With the Stars – he made it to week seven! But it’s seriously breaking my heart that his brother hasn’t been there to support him in the audience. I mean, you’d think family would always be there, especially during something like this, but his brother has been noticeably absent. It’s just…weird and sad!
However, the former star of Traitors believes he continues to receive support from the High School Musical actor.
Dylan told Extra after the October 21st episode of Dancing with the Stars that Zac is consistently supportive, saying, “He’s doing his thing,” and “supporting me every day.”
Viewers were especially surprised when the actor from 17 Again missed Dedication Week. During that week, Dylan performed a dance to Zac and Zendaya’s song “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman, and he dedicated the performance to his 5-year-old sister, Olivia.
The 33-year-old became emotional when discussing his siblings in a video played before his performance. He also has a younger brother named Henry, who is 4 years old.
He explained that he was dedicating his dance to his younger sister, Olivia. He said becoming a big brother was a surprise, but he and Olivia quickly became very close.
Dylan shared, getting emotional, that dancing to ‘Rewrite the Stars’ was a tribute to his brother, Zac, 38. He explained that Zac has always been incredibly supportive and selfless, and Dylan hopes to provide the same kind of positive influence to his own child, Olivia, striving to be the best role model he can be.

Earlier this year, the star of Down to Earth talked about how Zac Efron’s quick rise to fame after High School Musical made him hesitant to seek the spotlight himself.
Dylan explained to Teen Vogue in January that he chose to keep his own family life private due to the constant public interest in Zac Efron’s family. Growing up around Zac’s premieres and seeing how some people treated his friends taught him early on that not everyone has good intentions, and he’s been aware of that ever since.
