Some fans think Simon Cowell may have pressed his golden buzzer of love.

After getting engaged on Christmas Eve nearly four years ago, America’s Got Talent judge and his fiancée Lauren Silverman are now fueling speculation that they’ve tied the knot, thanks to a recent update on Lauren’s Instagram account.

Lauren Sánchez recently changed her username on a new private social media account, removing ‘Silverman’ and choosing @LaurenMichelleCowell. This change, combined with the fact that she’s following her partner, Jeff Bezos, has led to speculation that they may have secretly gotten married. Her bio simply states, “Mom to Adam and Eric.”

TopMob News has reached out to a rep for Simon for comment but has not yet heard back.

Simon and Lauren became a couple in July 2013, around the time they announced they were expecting their son, Eric, who is now 11 years old. Lauren also has a 19-year-old son, Adam, from a previous marriage with Andrew Silverman.

Simon Cowell proposed to Lauren Silverman in Barbados in 2021. They first met there back in 2004, and he’s been actively involved in planning their wedding ever since. He first welcomed their son, Eric, in 2014.

He’s handling all the planning because he’s worried things will spiral out of control if he doesn’t, recalling a similar situation at his 50th birthday party, he told The Sun in 2022. He also revealed the date is a secret, even from his wife, Lauren.

He explained that he didn’t want to deal with the stress of wedding planning – things like disagreements with a planner, and the difficult decisions about who to invite. He felt the entire process would be too complicated and troublesome.

Plus, taking the next step in his and Lauren’s relationship just made sense. 

To be honest, I’ve been feeling pretty committed for a while now,” Simon said. “Lockdown and COVID were a real test for a lot of couples. Being stuck at home together for over a year made me realize we actually get along really well.”

His son also influenced his decision. He explained that as Eric gets older, people will naturally ask about his parents, and he felt it was important to be open about it.
