Love Island USA’s Belle-A Walker Addresses Cierra Ortega’s Exit

Belle-A Walker is saying her piece after Cierra Ortega‘s Love Island USA exit.

Following Iain Stirling’s declaration on July 6 that Cierra departed from the show due to a “personal matter” on the Peacock series, Bell-A expressed her views concerning the controversial social media posts (not yet verified by TopMob News) about Cierra employing a racial slur towards Asian people.

In her Instagram Stories on July 6, Belle-A expressed gratitude towards the producers of Love Island USA for their stance against any form of racism. Initially, she was saddened by a comment made by one of her fellow Islanders on their social media. However, she decided to wait until they left the villa, had an opportunity to apologize sincerely and commit to learning from the incident, before deciding how their future relationship would unfold.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my thoughts on the evolving mindset of that 22-year-old Islander, who was the first to be booted from the Love Island USA villa during the June 8 episode. Here’s how her perspective on the situation has evolved.

More screenshots kept appearing, leading me to realize that I could no longer back this individual, so I chose to stop following them a few days back,” she explained. “Sadly, Asian hate is frequently disregarded or downplayed. However, as a first-generation American, I have directly encountered and felt the impact of such harmful remarks.

In sharing this moment with you all, my intention is to illuminate the profound extent of anti-Asian hatred that exists in our society today. Much like countless other Asian Americans, my mom embarked on a journey to America, seeking a brighter future for herself and her family. Aware of the struggles endured by her and many others, I can no longer remain silent. If the powerful platform bestowed upon me by God and your support is not utilized to amplify the voices of my community, then what purpose does it truly serve?

She ended her statement by urging viewers not to direct more hate Cierra’s way.

As a firm advocate against intolerance, I unequivocally reject all forms of bigotry and racism. However, it’s equally important for me to express that I stand against hatred in its entirety. Let’s take a moment to reflect before posting comments that might be harmful or unkind towards this individual.

TopMob News has reached out to Peacock and Cierrafor comment but has not yet heard back.

Ever since the word got out about Cierra leaving, I couldn’t help but feel a tug at my heartstrings. And guess what? Her parents too, stepped forward with a statement, shedding light on the tumultuous situation that’s been swirling around their beloved daughter.

In their message shared on Cierra’s Instagram Story on July 6, they expressed, “We’re not defending or disregarding the revelations, but we comprehend why folks are frustrated. We recognize the importance of accountability. However, what’s transpiring online at present has surpassed that point.

They went on to say, ‘The painful threats, the harsh words, the assaults against her loved ones, including her followers – it’s truly heart-wrenching.’ They added, ‘Such behavior is unwarranted. No one, regardless of their errors, should have to endure such hate.’

It was mentioned by Cierra’s family that she hasn’t come back home yet, as she is still filming Love Island USA in Fiji. However, they are confident that she will handle the situation with sincerity, development, and poise.

Though she remains our dear child, she’s also maturing into a strong woman who will step up when ready, using her own words. Until that moment, what we seek is understanding, tolerance, and kindness – not only for her sake, but for all those navigating through similar situations.
