Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Trailer Officially Brings Back 7 Netflix Actors

A new trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has been shown, bringing back several stars from the original Netflix Defenders series. Marvel Studios has officially confirmed that the Defenders shows are now part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a significant development in 2024. Fans can expect the MCU to continue growing over the next few years, with new content arriving in early 2026.

At New York Comic-Con, Marvel Studios revealed the first trailer for Season 2 of Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again. The trailer confirmed that seven actors from the original Defenders Saga (which previously aired on Netflix from 2015-2019) will return. While some of these actors appeared in Season 1 of Born Again, the new season will also introduce fresh faces to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.

Charlie Cox – Daredevil

As expected, Charlie Cox is returning as Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. He first played the character in Daredevil and The Defenders on Netflix, and has since appeared in other Marvel projects like Echo and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This will be his third live-action role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The trailer featured a few sweet scenes with Karen Page before highlighting Matt Murdock’s return as Daredevil. We see him back in costume and immediately taking on the role of a hero. Next season, he’ll also be sporting a new black suit, which hints at the “Shadowland” storyline that Marvel is using as inspiration.

Deborah Ann Woll – Karen Page

Deborah Ann Woll, who played Karen Page in the Marvel series Daredevil, The Defenders, and The Punisher, is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After a brief appearance in two episodes of Season 1, she’ll reprise her role as Karen Page in Season 2 of Born Again.

Following a difficult patch in their relationship during the first season, Karen Page and Matt Murdock will reconnect romantically in Season 2, hinting at a revival of their connection from the Daredevil series. Details about her storyline are currently secret, but pictures from the set reveal a new haircut, suggesting she’ll be in hiding or under protection at some point during the season.

Elden Henson – Foggy Nelson

Elden Henson finished his run as Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock’s close friend and law partner, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first starred in the original Daredevil series and later appeared throughout the Defenders Saga, including guest roles in Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and The Defenders.

As a huge fan of the show, I was completely shocked when Foggy seemingly died in the very first episode of Season 1. So, you can imagine my surprise when the Season 2 trailer flashed a quick shot of Henson! It seems he’ll be appearing in flashbacks throughout the season, and honestly, a lot of us are holding onto the hope that his death wasn’t real. We’re still not convinced!

Vincent D’Onofrio – Kingpin

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to hear Vincent D’Onofrio is returning as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin! He’s absolutely fantastic in the role, and I loved his performance across all three seasons of Daredevil. It was great seeing him pop up in Hawkeye and Echo too, and now he’s coming back for Season 2 of Born Again – I can’t wait to see what he does with it!

Now that he’s mayor of New York City, Fisk is cracking down hard, declaring martial law as he searches for vigilantes. The latest trailer offered glimpses into his past and showed some exciting fight scenes, making it clear he’ll relentlessly pursue Daredevil and other heroes.

Ayelet Zurer – Vanessa Fisk

Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, has returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Vanessa Fisk, his partner in both love and crime. Originally, another actress was chosen to play Vanessa for the Born Again series, but Marvel decided to make the show fit within the continuity of the Defenders Saga. This led them to bring back Ayelet Zurer, who originally portrayed the character in the Netflix series Daredevil.

Vanessa and Wilson Fisk faced a lot of challenges in Season 1, including marriage counseling. Vanessa regained Wilson’s trust by taking drastic action against the man she had been having an affair with. She briefly appeared in the trailer for Season 2, but her part in the new season hasn’t been revealed yet.

Wilson Bethel – Bullseye

Wilson Bethel made a big impact when he returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again. He originally played the character Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter in Season 3 of Daredevil, and his return was key to the show’s continuation under Marvel Studios.

Bullseye murdered Foggy Nelson and broke out of prison, then attempted to kill Wilson Fisk. However, Matt Murdock intervened, taking the bullet meant for Fisk. The trailer for Season 2 hints at a more dangerous and vengeful Fisk, promising further conflict.

Krysten Ritter – Jessica Jones

Marvel is bringing back Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones for the second season of Born Again, exciting fans of the original Defenders Saga. Ritter previously starred in her own Jessica Jones series and The Defenders, but hasn’t played the character since the third season of her solo show ended in 2019.
