Sony has updated Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC to add Steam Deck compatibility.
Although not mandatory, verifying a game on the Steam Deck shows that developers have put in extra effort to make sure it runs well.
Nixxes, the studio that ported the game, announced in the Steam patch notes that a graphics preset specifically for the Steam Deck has been added. They also confirmed the single-player portion of the game is now officially verified to work well on the Steam Deck.
Just so you know, the Steam Deck version of the game currently only works with the single-player mode. Also, the multiplayer mode, called Legends, is now a separate game from the main story campaign.
Players who want to save space or don’t plan to play with others online can skip installing this content. For everyone else, it’s available as a free download.
This update includes several small improvements, making the interface easier to use on the Steam Deck’s screen and resolving some known issues.
This update is great news for players wanting to replay Ghost of Tsushima on the Steam Deck, particularly if they’ve recently finished the new game, Ghost of Yotei.
Since Sony’s portable gaming device isn’t expected for a few years, the Steam Deck is currently the best option for playing this game while traveling.
