I was completely blown away by the first season of Hazbin Hotel on Prime Video! It was such a wild ride – seriously funny, but with these incredible musical numbers that felt like a full-blown Broadway show. And beneath all the chaos, there was real heart and surprisingly deep emotional stuff. That final battle totally changed everything in Hell! Now, with Charlie more driven than ever to make her redemption plan work, and so many enemies closing in, I’m already on the edge of my seat for season two. The first season left us with so many questions and hints, the fanbase is going crazy trying to figure out what’s going to happen next – and honestly, I’m right there with them!
Fans are eagerly anticipating what happens next in Hazbin Hotel and are full of questions about the show’s popular characters.
10) What Happened Between Lilith and Lucifer 7 Years Ago?

Charlie’s mother, Lilith, who is also the Queen of Hell, is notably missing for most of the first season. She supposedly left Hell seven years prior to follow her own path. Charlie portrays her mother as a powerful ruler, making it surprising that she would abandon her family and those she ruled. The season finale reveals Lilith is living in Heaven, and it appears she’s made an agreement with Adam, though the details of this deal are unknown. This leaves viewers wondering what Lilith is truly planning.
The difficult relationship between Charlie and her father, Lucifer, suggests unresolved problems that likely stem from Lilith leaving. Figuring out why Lilith left—was it a mutual decision, a bitter fight, or a calculated plan?—is key to understanding the current troubles within Hell’s ruling family and the reason behind Lucifer’s sadness.
9) What is Sir Pentious’ Life Like in Heaven?

In a surprising and touching turn of events, Sir Pentious, the often-silly inventor, bravely gives his life to protect his friends during the climactic fight with the Exorcists. This selfless act confirms Charlie’s hope that even sinners can be redeemed, and his spirit is shown ascending to Heaven. We only see a quick, joyful moment of his arrival, with Emily happily greeting him.
The next season needs to delve into what life is like for a demon who’s been redeemed and is now trying to adjust to a completely new world – Heaven. How are the angels reacting to him, especially those who previously despised demons? Will he have a chance to reconnect with friends from Hell? And most importantly, could his arrival force Heaven to rethink its views on whether demons can truly be redeemed?
8) If Demons Can Be Redeemed, Can Angels Become Sinners?

Sir Pentious’s journey to Heaven proves that people can change even after death. If someone can go from being a sinner to earning redemption, then it stands to reason that angels could also fall from grace. In fact, some of the higher-ranking angels, like the Exorcists and Seraphim, often act arrogantly, spitefully, and cruelly – behavior that could be considered sinful if judged by human standards.
The show has suggested that things aren’t as perfect in Heaven as they seem, especially with the controversial annual Purge performed by the Exorcists. Introducing a fallen angel who isn’t Lucifer – perhaps one who fell due to pride or wrongdoing – would make the battle between good and evil even more complex. This would create higher stakes for the characters and add more depth to the show’s exploration of whether morality is truly absolute.
7) What Caused the Rift Between Alastor and Vox?

Throughout the first season, the strong and ongoing rivalry between Alastor and Vox is a central theme. While the exact reason for their mutual dislike isn’t fully explained, Alastor suggests it stems from his refusal to work with Vox previously. Their encounters clearly show this isn’t just a professional disagreement, but a deeply personal conflict that likely began before Alastor vanished seven years ago, possibly involving a fight for power.
Understanding the complete history of their conflict would give us a better sense of what drives both characters and where they fit among the other Overlords. Were they fighting over land, technology, or just clashing personalities and different backgrounds? Knowing the details of what happened between the older, radio-based Overlord and the newer, media-focused one is crucial to understanding their upcoming rematch.
6) Will Lilith Return to Hell?

Lilith, the Queen of Hell, has been gone a long time, which is causing chaos in Hell and deeply hurting both Charlie and Lucifer. Now that everyone knows she’s enjoying a peaceful afterlife, people are starting to wonder where her true loyalties lie and what she’s really planning. Is she planning to stay in Heaven forever, or is this just a temporary escape? It’s possible she has a hidden agenda that no one else suspects.
Even a short visit back to Hell by Lilith would dramatically change things, possibly threatening Lucifer’s position and forcing Charlie to deal with the pain of her mother leaving again. Whether Lilith comes back as a friend, stays neutral, or works with Heaven will completely reshape the power dynamics in Hell.
5) What Favor is Alastor Going to Ask of Charlie?

Alastor always expects something in return for his help, and his protection of the Hotel and fight against the Exorcists is no exception – he’s essentially collecting a debt. Later in the season, he openly admits his help isn’t free, making a deal with Charlie: he’ll provide crucial information in exchange for a favor he can call in whenever he wants. Though Charlie feels pressured, she accepts because it’s the only way to defend the Hotel, giving Alastor a significant advantage.
What Alastor wants in return is a major source of mystery heading into the second season. Considering his power and unclear goals, this ‘favor’ could be anything – a small ask, or a dangerous demand that goes against the Hotel’s purpose or Charlie’s values. The first season made it clear that Alastor doesn’t make deals without expecting serious commitment.
4) Did the Egg Bois Go to Heaven With Sir Pentious?

Sir Pentious’ assistants, known as the “Egg Bois,” were completely devoted to him, even though they weren’t always successful. They bravely fought alongside him, and were often his only companions when he first moved into the Hotel. After Sir Pentious’ death and change of heart, it’s unknown what happened to them. Given their loyalty and sacrifice in fighting and dying with him, did they also find a path to redemption?
Honestly, the idea of the Egg Bois making it to Heaven just cracks me up – they’d be such a delightful oddity! But beyond the laughs, I think it would be really sweet to see Pentious, in this totally new place, and how he’d react to them being there too. Though, if they stay in Hell, I’m equally curious to see how they handle Pentious being gone and what they do next. Either way, it’s a fascinating thought!
3) Will Angel Dust Break Free From Valentino’s Contract?

Angel Dust is deeply tormented by a controlling contract with Valentino, which forces him to work in the adult film industry. This situation is central to his emotional pain and makes it difficult for him to find peace. The first season showed how deeply traumatized he is and how harmful his relationship with Valentino is, but didn’t offer a clear way for him to escape.
Honestly, I’m really hoping we see Angel Dust finally break free from Valentino in Season 2! It’s so crucial for his development as a character, and it would be amazing to see him confront his abuser – he’s already proven he’s got the courage to do it. Seeing him truly liberated would be a huge win, not just for him personally, but for everything Charlie is trying to achieve with the Hotel. It feels like a natural next step and would really drive the story forward!
2) Is Adam’s Death Permanent?

During the final battle of Hazbin Hotel, Adam, the first man and leader of the Exorcist Army, is defeated by Niffty wielding a butcher knife. But because death isn’t always permanent for powerful demons like Overlords, it’s unclear if Adam is truly gone.
Adam’s possible death creates uncertainty about who will lead the Exorcists and how the yearly Purge will be managed. If he’s still alive, his return would likely intensify the conflict with Hell. Because he was the first human and a powerful angel, what happens to Adam has huge consequences for the entire celestial world.
1) Who is Controlling Alastor?

One of the biggest questions in the series revolves around Alastor and the mysterious being he made a deal with. Throughout the show, we learn Alastor is bound by a contract, which is his only weakness and explains why he was gone from Hell for seven years. This contract is central to understanding what truly drives him and what he’s capable of. If Alastor is so strong while controlled by another, how much more powerful would he be if he were free?
The final scene, where Alastor speaks to a hidden being—perhaps even his own fractured mind—ends with a major question: is there a loophole in the deal he made? He also repeats his desire to break free, saying he wants to “unclip his wings.” Figuring out who or what this mysterious figure is—an Overlord, an Angel, or something else entirely—is crucial to understanding Alastor. This entity likely has a lot of power and could prove to be a much bigger danger than anything we’ve seen so far.
Hazbin Hotel Season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
