5 Emmerdale spoilers next week
1. Cara Robinson returns for son Nate’s funeral as killer John Sugden is pushed to the edge

John can’t dissuade Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller) from attending Nate’s funeral, and he’s now filled with apprehension about the upcoming days.
In a state of distress, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) persists in laying the blame for recent events on Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh).
In simpler terms, Aaron requested that John try to persuade Tracy to let the Dingles attend the funeral, but a reluctant John was unable to change Tracy’s mind.

Meanwhile, Tracy is surprised to learn that she is entitled to Nate’s life insurance.
At The Woolpack, the Dingles congregate for a heartfelt tribute to Nate. In this moment, Cain finds solace in channeling his sorrow into indignation towards Tracy, feeling he was denied a last farewell with his son.
As I watched Caleb Miligan gently coaxing Cain into a more relaxed state, my heart skipped a beat as Cara entered the room, her eyes flashing with annoyance at seeing Cain in such high spirits. She immediately challenged him.

When Sam Dingle (James Hooton) learns about Tracy and her life insurance policy, he views this information as a potential reason for murder and decides to tell Cain about it.
Cain explodes, telling Tracy he’ll be at the funeral whether she likes it or not.
On the day of the service, Tracy is unnerved to see DS Walsh outside the church.
The Dingles gather behind the hearse, but the funeral party descends into chaos with an argument.

Struggling under the burden of having killed Nate, John requests a ceasefire, but ends up being tasked with delivering the eulogy instead of Tracy.
Or:
Under the heavy guilt of murdering Nate, John asks for peace talks, yet finds himself obligated to give the eulogy rather than Tracy.
Noticing DS Walsh present, John found it challenging to deliver his speech, leaving us curious as to whether he might break under the tension and reveal the truth.
Will John come clean?
We’ll also see John reach out to another helpline, but how much will he reveal?
2. Robert Sugden is shaken by a visit from a familiar face

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) sees Owen’s (Simon Haines) name on his list of call-outs.
Previously, Owen arranged a meeting with Robert which later turned sour when he spiked Robert’s drink. However, it was John, Robert’s half-brother, who stepped in to save the day by finding Robert and securing him inside his van.
John is soon surprised to find that his next appointment at the surgery is with Owen.

Owen is shocked to recognise John, and Robert is nearby when he sees John throwing Owen out.
Robert is shaken by the scene, and thanks John for taking action.
But despite playing happy families in front of Aaron, Robert is still distrustful of John.
What’s next for the Sugdens, and is this the last we’ll see of Owen?
3. Charity Dingle makes shock surrogacy offer amid Victoria Sugden request

After a dead end with surrogacy agencies, Charity is on a mission to help Sarah.
However, when Charity requests it, Sarah’s aunt, Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins), feels overwhleming.
Charity tries to convince Vic by explaining she could be Sarah’s last chance to be a mum.

Charity and Cain are united as they commit to making Sarah’s dream come true.
But Robert is gobsmacked when Victoria tells him about Charity’s request.
As Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) expresses worry that Cain is hiding his sorrow to attend to Sarah’s surrogacy, Sarah becomes enraged when her uncle, Robert, discloses that Charity secretly asked Vic to bear her child instead.
A while later, James Moore (Ryan Stocks) tactfully lets Cain know that he’s been the victim of a fraud when the supposed surrogate from the agency fails to show up as expected.

In the pub, Cain expresses his frustration, while Sarah relinquishes her dream of motherhood. Spontaneously, Charity proposes to carry a child for Sarah instead.
Cain scolds Charity for taking this action, without informing her husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
Sarah is uncomfortable to realise that Charity hasn’t told Mack, but will she agree to go ahead?
4. Bear Wolf’s sad circumstances are revealed as Paddy Dingle lives in fear

In a calm manner, Paddy bravely masks his feelings while getting ready to run the veterinary clinic solo, accompanied by his wife Mandy (Lisa Riley).
Paddy finds comfort in managing things smoothly, but when a customer with a big dog shows up, he grapples with suppressed anxiety, finding it challenging to attend to the pet.
Paddy shuts up the place for the day, incapacitated with fear.

The next day, Paddy calls in sick and opens up to Mandy about his fear of dogs.
Following a conversation with Vinny Dingle’s pet dog, Chip, Paddy expresses his regrets to Vinny and shares his feelings with him.
Then we see that Bear is living in his car, a long way from reaching out to his loved ones.
Will preoccupied Paddy realise that his father needs his help?
5. Nicola King is blindsided in the café

Lewis has launched a successful new menu at the café, and the villagers flock to try it.
However, Nicola feels disgruntled because co-owner Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), who is not presently involved, continues to enjoy the profits.
Later, Nicola is blindsided, but what’s happened?
