The new multiplayer mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is bringing back a lot of the fun we had with games like Metal Gear Online and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
Today, a free update arrives for the PS5 remake, adding a brand-new online mode. It’s a unique mix of hide-and-seek and competitive deathmatch, and we believe the trailer perfectly captures just how enjoyable it is.
This mode focuses heavily on stealth and hiding, giving you a special camouflage suit that lets you blend into your surroundings.

Players who become skilled with this tool will likely excel in combat, but their opponents will be able to use investigative skills to see through disguises and locate each other.
We’ve seen a lot of positive reactions to this new mode online, and we’re excited to test it out ourselves later today.
The latest update for the PS5 Pro lets you choose between two graphics modes: Performance and Quality. This gives you more control over how the game looks and runs, and should help if you were experiencing frame rate problems.
We previously noted that the game initially only offered one graphics setting for the PS5 Pro, and it often couldn’t even hit its intended frame rate of 60 frames per second.
It’s unclear if the problems with image scaling (PSSR) have been fixed in this update, and it’s unlikely they have been.
This update also resolves several small issues with how the game plays and improves its performance generally.
This is a fantastic update, and the new mode looks like a lot of fun. The only downside is that it doesn’t support crossplay, so we’ll need a strong player base on PlayStation 5 to keep the multiplayer experience thriving.
