**Warning: Major Brassic finale spoilers ahead.**
After seven seasons of wild adventures, hilarious capers, and the unforgettable ramblings of Farmer Jim, the popular Sky comedy series Brassic has finished its run.
The season ends without revealing what happens to Vinnie, Ash, Tommo, and the rest of the Hawley crew of thieves. Though they face some tense situations and a gunshot rings out, all the main characters make it through their trip to a secluded pub.
He admitted he wouldn’t have minded a dramatic ending for the show, believing that if they were going to end it, they should really go for it. However, the writer, Danny Brocklehurst, has hinted at potentially turning the story into a film someday, so a complete ending might not be on the cards just yet. It seems a film is something he’s at least considering.
Honestly, I’m pretty content with how things are. We’ve really explored every possibility and done everything we could, so I wouldn’t change a thing.

Sampson hasn’t completely ruled out returning to his role as Tommo, the pub manager in Rat & Cutter, but he doesn’t want to wait too long. He’s unsure if he’ll reprise the character, suggesting it’s sometimes best to leave characters while they’re still young. He imagines it would be a bit depressing to see Tommo dealing with things like mortgages and debt as an older man.
The 39-year-old actor, currently working on the next season of his comedy show Mr Bigstuff, shared that he’s sad about finishing filming the series, which is set in Yorkshire. He’s grown close to the cast over the six years they’ve worked together and will miss spending time with them.
He admitted he’s going to miss playing Tommo, feeling a real connection to the character after working with him for so long. He also expressed sadness about not seeing the rest of the cast as frequently, and a strange feeling about never portraying the character again. Because they often improvised and spent so much time together, he genuinely felt like he knew the characters personally, and it’s difficult to accept that’s over.
I’m really going to miss Carol – her outfits were wild, and she always said the most unexpected things. Bronagh Gallagher’s performance was incredible; she’d improvise and kept mentioning this black fox throughout the entire series. It’s just sad to think I won’t be working with those people again.
Sampson also shared the one thing he won’t miss about filming Brassic now the series is over.
It’s probably noticeable, but Tommo is constantly getting covered in something messy – oil, whatever it is – every episode. Honestly, I won’t miss seeing that happen.
We won’t miss filming in difficult, unpleasant places, especially spending half the year on a rainy mountain. It always rains during filming, but we manage to make it work, and it actually looks good on screen. So, we’re glad that part is over.
I’m so excited – all seven seasons of Brassic are now streaming on Sky! If you’re thinking of joining, you can find out how to get Sky TV too.
