Prince Andrew’s New Name Revealed After King Charles Strips Titles

Prince Andrew has a brand-new moniker.

Just two weeks after Prince Andrew said he would stop using his Duke of York title and honors, King Charles III has gone further and officially removed all of Andrew’s royal styles, titles, and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, age 65.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m following the news closely, and it’s clear Prince Andrew has officially lost a number of his royal titles and honors. This includes being stripped of his titles as Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh – meaning he’ll no longer be addressed as ‘His Royal Highness.’ He’s also been removed from the Order of the Garter and as a Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order, which are significant honors within the royal system.

Prince Andrew will be moving from his current home, the Royal Lodge, to a smaller property on the King’s Sandringham estate. His former wife, Sarah Ferguson, who also lives at the Royal Lodge, will be finding a new place to live separately.

The royal family stated that these actions were a result of the continuing accusations against Prince Andrew related to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who is now deceased.

Buckingham Palace stated on October 30th that these actions are still required, even though the individual continues to claim he did not commit the alleged offenses.

The King and Queen want everyone to know that they deeply sympathize with and are thinking of all those affected by abuse, both now and in the future.

Prince Andrew publicly stated on October 17th that he would relinquish his royal titles. He explained that ongoing allegations against him were creating a distraction for King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family.

I just… I can’t believe anyone would even think he did something wrong! He keeps saying it, and honestly, it’s so frustrating that he has to keep repeating himself. He’s said it before, and he says it now – he completely and utterly denies everything! It’s like, can’t people just listen to him? He’s innocent, I know he is!

The accusations involve Virginia Giuffre, who sued Prince Andrew in federal court in 2021. She claims Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her, and while she was 17, Prince Andrew sexually abused her.

As a longtime follower of this case, it’s been incredibly sad to watch unfold. Prince Andrew eventually reached a settlement in the lawsuit, but he still maintains he never had any sexual contact with Virginia Giuffre, who tragically passed away in April at just 41 years old. It’s a truly heartbreaking situation.

He stated in a BBC Newsnight interview that he didn’t remember ever meeting her, and had absolutely no recollection of it.

As you know, Prince Andrew has faced a lot of scrutiny, and King Charles has officially removed his royal titles. But it’s important to remember this process actually began with Queen Elizabeth. Before she passed away in 2022, she took steps to remove his military roles and charitable affiliations – she clearly started the process of distancing the royal family from him, and now Charles is continuing that path.

In January, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew has given up his military roles and royal patronages to the Queen. He will not be carrying out any public duties and is handling the ongoing legal case as a private individual, with the Queen’s approval, according to the BBC.

As a longtime observer of the Royal Family, it was quite a shock to hear that King Charles has officially removed Prince Andrew from his role as a working royal. It’s been two weeks since Andrew said he wouldn’t use his Duke of York title anymore, and now the King has confirmed he’ll also be losing his home at Royal Lodge and, crucially, his title as Prince. It feels like a definitive closing of a difficult chapter.

Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles has begun the official steps to strip Prince Andrew of his royal titles and honors. He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will stop using the title Duke of York. This decision comes after ongoing public concern about his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex offenses.

After talking with The King and my family, I’ve decided the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. I remain committed to my decision from five years ago to step back from public duties.”

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking a further step and would be giving up his royal title and any honors he’d received. He reaffirmed that he strongly denied all accusations made against him.

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event held at the Natural History Museum in London.

The couple took photos outside the museum and then went inside to talk with government officials and activists focused on fighting climate change. This event happened before the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend in place of his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After reports emerged this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue her role as a patron of the charity. The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed its gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.

A representative for Ferguson stated that the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House—the King’s home in London—likely to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his former husband, Mark Phillips, announced on August 1st that he will marry his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling. The couple had been dating for over a year.

The couple’s spokesperson told Hello! magazine that both families were told together and were very happy to hear about the engagement.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the monarch – in this case, her husband, King Charles III – based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, according to Kensington Palace.

The palace said Kate was sad to miss the event, but she’s still working out how to manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This came more than a year after a previous request for increased protection was denied by the High Court’s Royal and VIP Executive Committee.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2021 and moved to the US, their security arrangements were reduced. However, Harry later requested continued security protection during his visits back to the United Kingdom.

Prince Harry told the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset by the outcome of his recent legal fight. He stated that, as things stand, he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his wife and children.

In an interview with the BBC on May 2nd, Prince Harry said his father, King Charles III, isn’t currently speaking to him due to disagreements about security. He expressed hope that they could resolve their differences and rebuild their relationship.

Oh my gosh, Prince Harry just said he really wants to fix things with his family! Can you believe it? He and Meghan have Archie and Lilibet, and he’s hoping his dad, the King, will be the one to reach out. It’s all up to him, apparently! I’m just crossing my fingers they can all get along, it would be amazing!

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness that his children won’t have the chance to experience his home country with him.

Honestly, it all comes down to my dad, I just know it. He’s got so much power and influence in this whole situation. He could fix everything, but not by jumping in and taking charge, you know? He just needs to…let go, trust the people who actually know what they’re doing, and let them handle it. If he’d just step back, everything could finally move forward. I’m telling you, it’s the key!

Oh my gosh, you guys, it’s happening! After years of them fighting, he’s finally trying to make peace! I almost cried when I heard him say it. He actually said, and I quote, ‘Life is precious, I don’t know how much longer my father has.’ It’s just… everything I’ve been hoping for! I’m so relieved and honestly, a little bit emotional. I just want them to be okay!

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has shown him the incredible kindness and strength of people.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles explained that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary for both individuals and their families. However, drawing from his own experience, he also emphasized that it can reveal incredible kindness and strength in others.

He expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers who cared for him, and shared that the experience deepened his respect for the incredible work done by the organizations and people present, many of whom he’s known and supported for years.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 20th.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined other royals in celebration, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

This was the second Easter the couple missed, following the Princess of Wales’ announcement last month that she is undergoing cancer treatment.

On April 15th, Jason Knauf was named the new CEO of Prince William’s environmental initiative, The Earthshot Prize. In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and community to promote hopeful solutions for the planet.

I was really surprised to hear about his promotion, especially considering what happened almost seven years ago. He’d made claims about Meghan Markle, alleging she’d bullied some of her assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. But the Sussexes’ team strongly denied everything, telling The Times it was all part of a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation with false and hurtful stories. It’s a complicated situation, and I’m curious to see how this plays out now that he’s been promoted.

Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public announcement of the results.

William and Kate’s eldest son George attended a soccer match in Paris alongside his dad April 7.

A father and son happily watched the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa at Parc des Princes stadium.

I was absolutely gutted to hear about Graham Craker. He was one of the royal family’s bodyguards – can you believe he actually protected Harry and William?! It’s so sad, he passed away in April at 77. I always felt so secure knowing he was there, and it’s just… heartbreaking to think he’s gone.

Craker was with Princes William and Harry when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he was present at her funeral.

In 2017, Craker told The New York Post that he was standing near the back of the hearse when Prince William looked up and saw him. Craker nodded back, and Prince William seemed reassured to know that Craker was with his mother during her final journey.

I was so delighted to hear the wonderful news! Hugh Grosvenor, a close friend of King Charles – he’s actually his godson – and his wife, Olivia, are expecting their first child. It’s such a happy time for them, and I’m sending them all my best wishes!

A spokesperson announced to The Telegraph that the duchess is pregnant and expecting a baby this summer. The couple expressed their joy and excitement about starting a family.

I was so incredibly saddened to hear about Prince Frederik’s passing. He was just 22 years old, the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, and lost his life on March 1st after a brave fight against PolG mitochondrial disease. It’s a really rare genetic condition, and it’s heartbreaking to see such a young life taken by it.

Robert shared in a statement that his son, Frederik, is a superhero to their family, friends, and now, thanks to his PolG Foundation, to people around the world. Robert believes Frederik’s strength lies in his ability to inspire others and lead through his own actions.

Okay, so you won’t BELIEVE this! Prince Harry finally got a settlement from those awful people at News Group Newspapers – they’re the ones behind The Sun and the old News of the World. He sued them way back in 2019 because their journalists and private investigators were illegally digging up dirt on him and the whole Royal Family. It’s been a long fight, but he finally got some justice! I’m SO relieved and proud of him for standing up to them!

According to NBC News, the settlement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering a complete and sincere apology to Harry. They also publicly acknowledged the widespread and intrusive media coverage concerning both his and Princess Diana’s private lives.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.

She shared on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that she’s now in remission and continuing to focus on getting better. She added that, like anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, it’s taking time to adjust to life afterward.

She added that she’s excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what’s to come.

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely heartbroken for Meghan! Apparently, her sweet rescue beagle, the one she adopted way back in 2015 – even before she met Prince Harry, can you believe it? – just passed away. I’ve been following her since before the royal days, and I know how much that little dog meant to her. It’s just… devastating.

On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt post on Instagram about crying so much she’d lost count. She described the kind of tears that make you want to hide in the shower, hoping the water will wash away the pain—even though you know it won’t. She ended by saying it’s okay to feel those tears.

Meghan lovingly remembered her dog, Guy, saying, ‘Thank you for all the years of unwavering love. You brought so much joy to my life.’

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke (also known as Alexandra Pettifer), was killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Prince William and Catherine were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ed Pettifer. In a message shared on Kate Middleton’s Instagram on January 4th, William stated their thoughts are with the Pettifer family and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

Meghan Markle, known for her role on the TV show Suits, launched a new Instagram account on January 1st. She had previously closed her personal social media accounts right before marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

The next day, she revealed a new Netflix series called With Love, Meghan. A press release described it as a fresh take on lifestyle shows, combining helpful tips and honest chats with both familiar and new friends.

In June 2025, Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted at Wimbledon with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for a special public appearance.

The family shared on Instagram how happy they were to be back at Wimbledon for the Championships finals this weekend. They congratulated Iga Świątek and Jannik Sinner on their victories and thanked everyone who helped make the tournament such a great event.
