Fall 2025 anime is here, and this season’s selection is fantastic! We’re getting back some beloved favorites alongside exciting new shows. While each season brings a lot to look forward to, waiting each week for a roughly 20-minute episode can be tough – especially when episodes often end on cliffhangers! As the weather cools down, it’s a great time to settle in and watch, but if you prefer to binge-watch, you might want to explore shows outside of the current seasonal lineup.
Anime fans have had a great year so far, and this month offers tons of new series to enjoy, many of which perfectly capture the cozy fall feeling. Crunchyroll, the biggest anime streaming service, has a huge selection to choose from. If you’re looking for something new to watch, our list of 10 anime will keep you entertained all month long.
10) Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf

This new anime is a fresh take on the original series from 2008, bringing to life the charming but often overlooked novel by Isuna Hasekura with art by Juu Ayakura. The story has a warm, slightly sad feeling, and centers around two very different people. Kraft Lawrence, a traveling merchant, comes to the village of Pasloe, a place where legend says a villager once made a deal with Holo, the wolf goddess, who promised to ensure plentiful wheat harvests.
The old promise was all but lost, remembered only as a story. But as Kraft finished trading and prepared to leave, he found a young girl asleep amongst his furs. She claimed to be the wolf of that very legend. She offers him her knowledge and help if he’ll assist her in achieving her own goal, hoping to travel with him.
9) Horimiya

I remember when the Horimiya anime came out in 2021 – the manga had been popular for about ten years already, so there was a lot of anticipation! The first season tried to fit the entire story into just 13 episodes, which left some fans feeling a little let down. Thankfully, the studio, CloverWorks, came back with Horimiya: Piece to finish adapting the rest of the manga. What I really enjoyed about the series was how it mixed lighthearted school comedy with a sweet romance, but also wasn’t afraid to show the characters dealing with real issues and their own insecurities – not just the main couple, but their friends too.
The story centers around Kyoko Hori, a bright and popular student who keeps a secret life hidden from her classmates. While she appears perfect at school, she actually spends most of her time at home caring for her younger brother and managing the household, as her parents are often away for work. Her secret is discovered when Izumi Miyamura, a quiet classmate, sees her taking care of things after bringing his injured brother home. Kyoko is surprised to find that Izumi is a completely different person outside of school, and the two begin a secret friendship, with Izumi helping her maintain her double life.
8) To Your Eternity

The third season of the anime premiered in October as part of the Fall 2025 season, continuing Fushi’s poignant story. It’s a deeply moving exploration of what it means to be human, celebrating life, relationships, and the strength of the human spirit. The series powerfully examines the burdens of immortality, starting with an orb sent to Earth to observe the world.
I’ve been watching this incredible orb – it’s amazing how it can transform into anything it comes across, whether it’s an object, an animal, or even a person, all while it diligently records everything around it. I saw it spend centuries as a simple rock, constantly shifting shapes, until it eventually became a wolf. That’s when things got really interesting – it met a solitary boy who was raising the wolf, and they formed an incredibly strong connection. When the boy sadly passed away, the orb… well, it became him. And then it set off on this long journey, unaware of just how much that transformation would ultimately change it.
7) Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Fans of this exciting fantasy anime can look forward to a second season arriving in Spring 2026, making now a great time to start watching! It’s known for its stunning visuals and creative world, and it’s written by the author of the popular Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? series, Fujino Omori. The story follows Will Serfort as he strives to become one of the kingdom’s five most powerful magicians, known as the Magia Vander.
Will is incredibly strong, but he can’t use magic – a key requirement to qualify. Still, he’s determined to overcome this obstacle and reunite with his childhood love, who possesses magical abilities and was separated from him because of them.
6) My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

Fans of the popular anime My Hero Academia have reason to celebrate! A second season of the spin-off series, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, is scheduled for Winter 2026. This series, created by Hideyuki and illustrated by Court Betten, is a prequel set five years before the events of the original My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi. It explores a world where superpowers are common, but crime is on the rise. While official heroes work tirelessly to protect people, a group of unsanctioned heroes, known as vigilantes, operate in the shadows to do what they can to help.
Kouichi Haimawari is a college student whose seemingly weak ability prevents him from becoming a hero. His life changes when he meets Kazuko Haneyama and a vigilante hero known as Knuckleduster. They team up to investigate a dangerous new drug, and what they discover is far more complex than they expected.
5) Mashle: Magic & Muscles

A new season of the anime is coming, but we don’t know exactly when it will be released. If you enjoy stories about determined heroes who overcome challenges, like Asta from Black Clover, this action-packed fantasy series is a great choice to watch right now. The story takes place in a world where people with magical abilities have visible marks to prove it, and those born without magic are discarded. In fact, lacking magic – or even hiding someone who does – is a serious crime punishable by death, all in the name of maintaining the kingdom’s power.
Mash Burndead is a quiet, powerful young man who keeps to himself with his father, trying to avoid attention. But when his abilities are revealed, his peaceful life is shattered. To protect himself and his father, Mash must enroll in the Magic Academy and strive to become a Divine Visionary – a prestigious title desired by every mage in the land.
4) Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket is a highly popular romance series, but it’s also known for its touching story about overcoming pain, learning to accept yourself and others, and the importance of being kind. The show skillfully mixes heartfelt moments with humor as it tells the story of Tohru Honda, a high school student who finds herself homeless after a family tragedy. Luckily, her classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure offer her a place to stay.
Soon after, Kyo, another member of the Sohma family, arrives, and things get complicated when Tohru discovers their family secret: they transform into animals from the Chinese Zodiac when they’re physically weak or embraced by someone they’re attracted to. Surprisingly, instead of being repulsed, Tohru is fascinated and begins to develop close relationships with the Sohmas as she meets more of them.
3) My Hero Academia

The final season of My Hero Academia is currently being released and is getting a lot of attention for its amazing animation and intense action as the story wraps up. If you haven’t seen it yet, now’s a great time to watch all the seasons and movies! The series takes place in a world where most people – around 80 percent – have developed special powers called Quirks.
The world is filled with people who have superpowers, but many of them choose to use those powers for evil, causing trouble and destruction. To protect everyone, there are professional heroes who dedicate their lives to fighting villains and keeping the peace. This story centers on Izuku Midoriya, a boy who always admired the world’s strongest hero, All Might, and dreamed of becoming a hero himself – even though he was born without any powers. Just when he was about to give up on his dream, he unexpectedly meets All Might, who is keeping a lot hidden from the public.
2) Haikyu!!

Many fans consider this heartwarming sports anime a classic, and it’s known for its inspiring message about dedication, effort, and growing as a person. The story follows a group of high school boys striving to reach the Spring High National Volleyball Tournament, and it helped make sports anime popular with younger audiences. It centers on Shoyo Hinata, a determined and energetic young player who dreams of becoming as great as the legendary volleyball star known as the “Little Giant.”
I was totally gutted when I first saw Shoyo’s middle school debut go so badly! He went up against Kageyama’s incredibly strong team and lost in the first round, which was heartbreaking. But he didn’t give up! He ended up going to Karasuno High, the same school as the legendary Little Giant, hoping for a fresh start. Imagine my surprise when he found out Kageyama was also there! Now these two rivals are teammates, and they’re going to have to learn to cooperate if they want to make it all the way to nationals. It’s going to be an amazing journey, but definitely full of challenges!
1) The Apothecary Diaries

Good news for fans of The Apothecary Diaries – a new season is coming next year! If you haven’t started watching yet, now’s the time. It’s a show that consistently improves as the story unfolds, and it’s really shaken things up in the anime world with its captivating historical setting and incredible female characters. It’s proving that exciting stories aren’t limited by genre.
Maomao is a brilliant apothecary—an expert in both medicine and poisons—who’s kidnapped and sold into service at the Imperial Palace. She plans to quietly fulfill her contract, but her skills attract the attention of a powerful eunuch who repeatedly asks for her assistance. Using her intelligence, Maomao solves various mysteries for him while also doing her best to help the palace concubines.
