DICE and EA have made some temporary changes to how players earn experience in Battlefield 6’s Strikepoint mode. This is to ensure everyone progresses at a fair pace, after some players discovered a way to quickly earn a lot of experience in a short amount of time.
DICE announced they found a problem with how much experience points (XP) players were earning in Strikepoint mode. To keep things fair while they fix the issue, they’ve temporarily adjusted the XP earned in that mode. They’ll share more updates when a permanent fix is ready, and they appreciate players’ patience.
Although the specifics weren’t revealed, reports suggest the problem stemmed from unusual server configurations or situations that occurred at the beginning of matches. This allowed players to manipulate how points and experience were earned. For instance:
If a team forfeits a match while switching sides (like at halftime when the score is 0-5), the other team gets a large experience point bonus.
The game currently has some temporary changes to reduce experience points earned from certain activities, particularly those being exploited. The developers have stated that these are short-term adjustments, and a lasting solution will be included in an upcoming update.
Simply put: Playing the Strikepoint map in Battlefield 6 won’t give you as much experience as it has lately. This change is on purpose and temporary, meant to prevent players from unfairly boosting their progress using glitches. Once the complete fix is released, the game should feel more stable and fair for everyone playing legitimately.
We discovered a problem that was reducing the amount of experience points (XP) players earned in Strikepoint mode. To ensure everyone progresses fairly, we’ve temporarily adjusted XP rates in this mode while we work on a permanent fix. Thanks for your patience and understanding…
