Tinsel Town news….
Now that Halloween has passed, Christmas is quickly approaching, and the first festive trailers are starting to appear. We’re getting a first look at Tinsel Town, a new family comedy starring Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland (known for 24) and the talented Rebel Wilson (from Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, and JoJo Rabbit).
What’s the film about?
In the movie, Sutherland stars as Bradley Mack, a former action star whose career has fizzled out. He finds himself in a quaint, snowy town, unexpectedly cast in their local production of Cinderella. While there, he meets a quirky group of residents, and begins to form a connection with them, especially with Jill (Wilson), the production’s no-nonsense choreographer.
Who stars in the Tinsel Town trailer?
Comedian Katherine Ryan, known from The Duchess, will play the agent of the main character. The local villagers will be played by a fantastic cast of British actors including Derek Jacobi (Gladiator II), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Maria Friedman (Unforgotten), Jason Manford (Waterloo Road), Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), Danny Dyer (Rivals), Ray Fearon (Barbie), Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), and James Lance (Ted Lasso). Meera Syal (The Wheel of Time) will direct the production. Rising star Savannah Lee Smith (Cruel Intentions) will also appear, alongside newcomers Theodora Williams, Matilda Firth (Wolf Man), and Eden Hamilton (The Railway Children Return).
Who’s behind the Tinsel Town trailer?
Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth wrote the screenplay, with extra material from Jake Brunger. Chris Foggin, known for Bank of Dave, directed the film. Matt Williams and Pascal Degove from Future Artists Entertainment produced it, along with Ava Aashna Chopra. Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, Martin Owen, and Julia Stuart served as executive producers.
Sky Original Film Tinsel Town will be coming to Sky Cinema on 5th December 2025.
