It is being speculated that one resident of Walford might trade the Square for the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor. Rumors are circulating that EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal could be part of this year’s cast following a tumultuous year on the BBC series.
As a movie aficionado, I’m thrilled by the rumor swirling around that the BBC is about to ink a deal with an actress who, if reports are correct, will be joining the ranks of EastEnders alumni gracing the dance floor.
Year after year since 2019, an actor from EastEnders has graced the stage on Strictly Come Dancing, and most recently, it’s Jamie Borthwick who has started dancing.
In my experience, some of the past competitors I’ve admired include Bobby Brazier, James Bye, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Maisie Smith, and Emma Barton.
On the long and eventful road of Sopal’s character, she reached a significant milestone by marrying Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) in a thrilling New Year’s Day episode. The path to this union was not without its dramatic twists and turns.

On the wedding day, everything seemed perfectly fine at first, but trouble brewed later when the mischievous figure of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), who had been causing problems for Suki all along, made a final appearance with the intention of spoiling her happy life.
Following his arrival at the bridal suite, it became apparent to both Suki and Eve what Nish was truly capable of when he deliberately poisoned Eve and disclosed that he intended to take his own life along with Suki, aiming for all three of them to perish together.
However, in a panic, Suki darted out onto the balcony, calling for assistance. Just then, Ravi appeared as a savior, unknowingly pulling Nish off the balcony by mistake. He was entangled in Suki’s dress around his wrist, causing them both to fall from the balcony and land on the ground below.
Thankfully, Suki and Eve survived and Nish’s menacing ways came to an end once and for all.
Her hard work has not gone unrecognized; she was honored with the Soap Superstar award at the Inside Soap Awards for her portrayal in the The Six storyline.
