Jaime King is sharing her excitement for Taylor Swift‘s touchdown-worthy romance.

Rachel Bilson, known for her role in Hart of Dixie and a former friend of Taylor Swift’s since 2014, showed she and Taylor are still friendly by publicly congratulating her on her engagement to Travis Kelce. While they haven’t been seen together as often lately, Bilson’s message confirmed they remain on good terms.

I recently spoke with Jaime, and honestly, I’ve never heard someone sound so genuinely thrilled! They told Us Weekly that they’ve finally found ‘the one’ – that perfect match they’ve been waiting for. It was so clear they believe this is it, this is her person! It’s just lovely to hear such happiness.

Jaime chose Taylor, the Grammy-winning singer, to be godmother to her son Leo in 2015, when he was a baby. She continues to express her happiness for Taylor and Travis, saying, “I’m so happy.”

The actress from White Chicks, who has two children – Leo and 12-year-old James – with her ex-husband Kyle Newman, has often spoken highly of how kind Taylor has been to her and her kids.

In 2016, she told TopMob News that this person is the greatest friend, godmother, and human being anyone could hope to have in their life, and she feels incredibly thankful for her.

Honestly, it was SO obvious who Taylor should be godmother! I mean, Jaime always says Taylor is the most fun, loving, wonderful, and generous friend she’s ever had, so it was a total no-brainer. It just made sense, you know? I knew it was coming, but it still gave me chills when it was announced!

In 2015, Jaime told TopMob News that he’d always envisioned this woman as the perfect godmother to his future child. He explained that she’s exceptionally kind and generous, treating everyone with genuine warmth and courage. He described her as a rare and authentic person who always acts from the heart.

She also said then that her child would always have a positive influence and someone to look up to.

Oh my gosh, it’s been a decade since I first started following Taylor, and so much has happened! Now she’s getting married, which is just… everything! And it’s even more amazing because Jaime just got engaged to Austin Sosa in July, after her divorce from Kyle earlier this year. It’s like, they’re always hitting these big life moments around the same time! I can’t even handle the cuteness!

Jaime told Us Weekly that getting engaged feels like a personal commitment, which they see as a way of showing self-love. They explained, ‘To me, an engagement is really about a love for oneself.’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship started in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Okay, so as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve been following the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce story, and it’s adorable! Apparently, Travis, being the sweet guy he is, really wanted to give Taylor a custom friendship bracelet with his number on it at her Eras Tour show. He tried to get it to her, but she was deep in her pre-show routine and he just couldn’t quite make the connection! It’s a funny little moment that shows how focused she is on delivering an amazing performance.

On the July 26th episode of his podcast, New Heights, Travis explained he was a little upset that he couldn’t talk to Taylor before or after her concert. He understood she needs to protect her voice since she sings 44 songs during the show, but he had made her friendship bracelets and wanted to give her one.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come see the Chiefs play at their home stadium.

He explained on The Pat McAfee Show that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d seen her perform at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see whose concert was more exciting. He added that fans might find out what happens soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, starting during training camp in August, and he had it when he first met Taylor.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were a memorable look during that time, and he was sporting them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Travis and Taylor began communicating via text and phone calls around the beginning of September, as reported by TopMob News.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor accepted Travis’ invitation and went to Arrowhead Stadium to see him and the Kansas City Chiefs play against the Chicago Bears, where she sat with his mother, Donna Kelce. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite rumors that they met for the first time in person, the singer of “Karma” explained that they had actually known each other for a while before that.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how close they were getting, Taylor brought a group of her friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from football games. This could be another hint that Taylor and Travis are a couple!

The couple publicly showcased their relationship with a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 14th. They continued the celebration with the show’s after-party and a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

Okay, so during Taylor’s break from touring, she went to Argentina, and guess who showed up?! Travis! He flew all the way there to support her during the South American leg of the Eras Tour, which was SO sweet. And it wasn’t just about watching the show – he actually hung out with Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, backstage in Buenos Aires on November 11th! Can you believe it? And the BEST part? Taylor gave him a shoutout from the STAGE! I was screaming! It was the most adorable, amazing thing ever, seriously!

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, Taylor Swift rushed backstage and shared a loving kiss with Travis Kelce.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told Time magazine that she’s excited to support him doing what he’s passionate about, and they’re both there for each other. They don’t worry about who else is around. It’s the opposite of having to hide their relationship and go to great lengths to keep it a secret.

 

The famous singer made Travis’s game on December 17th a family event, bringing her father along to support her boyfriend.

Taylor and Travis rang in the New Year together, and shared a kiss at midnight on January 1st.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family and spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, while attending the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and earned a place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field to celebrate. They shared a kiss and then told each other ‘I love you’ for the first time.

I was so excited to hear they spent the off-season together! They even took a snowy trip to Montana with Erin Andrews – it sounded like an amazing time, and I was thrilled to see them enjoying some downtime.

Okay, so like, when Travis finally posted pictures of him and Taylor on Instagram in July 2025, I nearly died! There was this one shot of them at dinner, and it was SO cute, but then I zoomed in (don’t judge!) and you could see their phone lock screens! They had pictures of each other as their lock screens! I swear, I screamed. It was the most adorable, confirming thing EVER, and I’ve had it saved ever since.

Taylor Swift, a self-proclaimed fan of the New Heights podcast, appeared on an extra-long episode with Travis and Jason Kelce on August 13th. During the nearly two-hour conversation, she openly shared details about her life with them, both publicly and privately. She also announced the title of her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which will be released on October 3rd.

Over two years after Travis mentioned Taylor on his podcast, sparking widespread excitement, the couple announced their engagement. They playfully referenced Taylor’s song “So High School” in an August 26th Instagram post sharing their engagement photos, writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
