Season 2 of Ahsoka will reunite two important figures from the Jedi Order. Despite leaving the Jedi after the events of The Clone Wars, Ahsoka remains closely connected to many beloved Star Wars characters, and Jedi will continue to be a significant part of her journey as she embarks on a new adventure.
Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen recently filmed scenes for the second season of Ahsoka, playing their characters Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. Dawson announced at Comic Con Scotland that they shot together just a week ago, and filming for the season is now complete.
It’s still sinking in, honestly. We were just on set together last week, so wrapping up season two feels really surreal. Seeing everyone again is amazing, and it makes it hard to believe we’re done filming… like we’re not quite ready to say goodbye yet! These past few months have been incredibly busy, demanding, but also truly wonderful.
This confirms that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker will appear together on screen, similar to how they did in Season 1, especially in Episode 5. That episode showed flashbacks to their time during The Clone Wars, when Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice.
The series Ahsoka follows Rosario Dawson as the former Jedi, Ahsoka Tano, who is trying to find her way back to her home world after the events of Season 1 left her stranded in a different galaxy. The show also features Hayden Christensen, Eman Esfandi, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Rory McCann, who takes over the role previously held by the late Ray Stevenson. Season 2 of Ahsoka is anticipated to premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
What To Expect From Rosario Dawson & Hayden Christensen in Ahsoka Season 2

Fans of Ahsoka will be pleased with this news, especially after Episode 5 of Season 1 received some of the highest ratings of any Star Wars episode on Disney+ in 2023. The episode’s flashbacks, which showed the relationship between Ahsoka and Anakin, deepened both of their characters and provided more insight into Anakin’s journey toward becoming Darth Vader.
Following the end of Season 1, it was already revealed that Anakin Skywalker would reappear in Ahsoka, appearing as a Force Ghost watching over Ahsoka after she became stranded. Because Hayden Christensen’s portrayal of Anakin was so well-received by fans, it makes sense that Star Wars is bringing the characters’ established connection back to the screen.
Currently, it’s unclear how much of a role Hayden Christensen will have in the second season. Since the season’s storyline hasn’t been released yet, and with major villains like Grand Admiral Thrawn causing trouble for Ahsoka and her team, it’s possible Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker will have a relatively small part, similar to his appearance in Season 1.
