The Marvel Cinematic Universe is regaining momentum, with recent hits like Thunderbolts and Ironheart generating buzz. The enigmatic antagonist in Ironheart has sparked conversation as the newest addition to the franchise. However, the Silver Surfer’s arrival signals the impending conclusion of Marvel’s First Family in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Reed Richards and his team will engage in a battle against Galactus, who intends to consume Earth and all its inhabitants. Although we won’t know the details until the movie premieres in a few more weeks, it has been confirmed by the MCU that the Fantastic Four manage to escape this predicament.
As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, let me share my excitement about the post-credits scene in Thunderbolts, where we witness the iconic Fantastic Four’s spaceship breaking through Earth-616’s atmosphere from another dimension, hinting at the impending Avengers: Doomsday saga. With the four titans from First Steps poised to make their grand comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next monumental film, it’s no wonder that members of the cast are frequently spotted together. What truly takes me aback is the leakage of on-set photos from Doomsday, making their way onto the web!
Initially, focus on Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Danny Ramirez, and Wyatt Russell as they work on the ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ film set.

On day X, Marvel Updates shared a set photo from the filming of “Doomsday”. In this image, Wyatt Russell, Danny Ramirez, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are seen readying for a scene in what appears to be a ship or laboratory. A control panel is visible at the center of the structure, with Russell standing over it while wearing the costume he will wear during the post-credits scene for “Thunderbolts”. Ramirez’s outfit seems similar to the one he wore in “Captain America: Brave New World”, and not much can be said about Moss-Bachrach’s attire as he is wearing a motion-capture suit that will later transform into The Thing.
In spite of the unimpressive outfits, it’s worth mentioning that the three actors clearly seen in the photograph appear in a scene together in the film Doomsday. This is significant because they belong to three distinct groups that might have conflicting views when the movie begins.
The MCU Is Coming Together to Fight Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday

It’s no surprise that the New Avengers, now known by an undisclosed name, will find themselves at odds with them in the upcoming story “Doomsday.” Sam Wilson, having trademarked the name “Avengers,” is displeased with his friend Bucky Barnes for allowing a group of ex-criminals to claim it. Their friendship appears strained by the end of “Thunderbolts,” leading to tension between Joaquin Torres and John Walker. However, with Doctor Doom posing a common threat in “Doomsday,” all hero groups will need to set aside their differences and unite to defeat him.
It’s uncertain if the Fantastic Four will be aware of their comic book nemesis before his appearance in the fifth Avengers film. However, regardless of their prior knowledge, they won’t stand idly by and let Earth-616 or any other planet succumb to his machinations. This implies that Ben Grimm (The Thing) might need to interact with questionable individuals like Walker to accomplish the task at hand. They may discover a shared interest because they both enjoy delivering heavy blows, as hitting things hard is something they both relish.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, 2026.
