Battlefield 6 Estimated to Have Sold Over 10 Million Units in First Month

While the latest Battlefield might not have surpassed Call of Duty in console player numbers, it’s reportedly selling very well. According to Rhys Elliot at Alinea Analytics, Battlefield 6 has already sold over ten million copies. This is a significant increase from its initial launch, where it sold over seven million copies in just the first three days.

Although it hasn’t yet overtaken Call of Duty as the most popular game overall this year, its performance on PC is impressive. Last week, Mat Piscatella from Circana noted that it was the most played game on Steam in both the United States and Canada. Player numbers dipped a little after Season 1 launched and challenges were linked to Battlefield: RedSec, but people are still actively playing.

As a big Call of Duty fan, I think it’s still huge – it’s on pretty much everything! But I get what Elliot’s saying about a bit of a perception problem. Some of the skins and stuff feel a little too much like Fortnite, and honestly, it feels like they haven’t really shaken things up in a while. Black Ops 7 will probably still sell like crazy because we all love the series, but let’s be real, Warzone is a massive driver. It’s free, so tons of people play it, and it’s constantly showing us ads and promotions that get us to buy things. It’s a really smart way to keep the money coming in!

The new game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, will be released on November 14th. While Call of Duty generally attracts a wider, more casual audience, it’s currently performing lower in Steam sales than other popular titles like ARC Raiders and Battlefield 6. In fact, pre-orders for Black Ops 7 on Steam are significantly behind those of Battlefield 6. You can find the game’s PC system requirements here.
