While Captain America 4 is aiming for awards, the movie Thunderbolts is also hoping to be nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.
Marvel’s Thunderbolts came out in US cinemas this May. The film is directed by Jack Schreier, who will also direct the upcoming X-Men movie. The cast includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (also known as the Winter Soldier), Wyatt Russell as John Walker (U.S. Agent), Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, David Harbour as Red Guardian, HannahJohn-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
What Oscars is Thunderbolts* campaigning for?
Disney is hoping its movie Thunderbolts will be nominated for Best Picture, and if it wins, Kevin Feige would accept the award.
Thunderbolts* has received nominations for a variety of awards, including Best Director (Schreier), Best Actress (Pugh), Best Supporting Actor (Stan and Pullman), Best Supporting Actress (Louis-Dreyfus), and Best Casting (Sarah Halley Finn). The film is also recognized for its writing (Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo – Best Adapted Screenplay), and technical achievements in areas like Cinematography (Andrew Droz Palermo), Costume Design (Sanja Hays), Film Editing (Angela Catanzaro and Harry Yoon), Makeup & Hairstyling (Kimberly Jones and Lane Friedman), Original Score (Son Lux), Production Design (Grace Run and Gene Serdena), Sound (Samson Neslund, Daniel Laurie, Onnalee Blank, Michael Semanick, and Chris Giles), and Visual Effects (Jake Morrions, Chad Wiebe, Mat Krentz, and Nikos Kalaitzidis).
