The newest chapter of the Solo Leveling manhwa marks a significant turning point, effectively concluding the story as fans have followed it for almost ten years, ever since Chugong originally released the light novel. Solo Leveling has always centered on Sung Jinwoo’s personal growth, as he was unique among Hunters for his ability to improve his skills through the System.
In the sequel series, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, Sung Suho was unique – he was the only one who could still grow stronger thanks to an updated system designed by Jinwoo. However, with the events of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Webtoon Chapter 62, Suho’s new power has changed that. Jinwoo once declared he wouldn’t be “solo leveling” anymore after gaining his Shadow Extraction ability, but he couldn’t have predicted that his son’s Shadow Creation ability would truly end the era of solo leveling.
Sung Suho’s New Ability in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Lets Other Hunters Level Up

Sung Suho in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok shares a similar ability to Sung Jinwoo – both can extract shadows. However, Suho specializes in forging these shadows into weapons and equipment with his Shadow Creation Skill, rather than building an army of Shadow Soldiers like his father. Sung Jinwoo briefly demonstrated a basic version of this ability, called Shadow Manipulation, earlier in the original series.
Suho’s Shadow Creation is a more powerful version of Shadow Manipulation, which is why Beru was so surprised by its strength compared to Jinwoo’s. Because of his natural talent and creativity, Suho mastered this skill quickly and surpassed even his father’s abilities. It was a perfect match for his strengths.
Suho has the ability to create custom armor and weapons using Shadow Creation, and he can save them for later. The power of the shadow used determines how strong these items are, giving the wearer benefits like increased stats and even special abilities. What’s really cool is that the equipment gets stronger as Suho uses it, leveling up alongside him.
Suho discovered, around the end of the story (specifically Chapter 47), that he could give his Shadow equipment to others, boosting their abilities. Chapter 62 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok then reveals that this equipment actually gets stronger even when someone else is using it.
Baek Yoonho is The First Hunter to Level Up With Suho’s Skill in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Chapter 62
I recently watched Sung Suho put his Shadow Creation ability to the test, and his subject was Baek Yoonho, the leader of the White Tiger Guild. Suho gifted Baek a pair of incredibly powerful gauntlets – he’d crafted them from a Magic Beast he’d defeated and affectionately named them “Baekgu.” These weren’t just any gauntlets, though. They boosted Baek’s strength, gave him access to a special skill called “Surge,” and even leveled up the more he used them. Baek quickly noticed the difference; he genuinely felt a significant increase in his power as the gauntlets’ stats improved.
With Baek now able to gain levels as easily as Sung Suho and Jinwoo, the idea of ‘solo leveling’ – central to the story’s title – no longer makes sense. The original title, I Alone Level Up, doesn’t quite fit anymore. At the conclusion of chapter 62 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, Woo Jinchul, a popular character and head of the Hunter’s Association, considers what this change means.
Woo Jinchul is a strong Hunter, ranking as A-Rank, but he isn’t on the level of S-Rank Hunters. However, he believes that might be changing. At the end of the chapter, Jinchul hopes he’ll soon be able to fight alongside Jinwoo as an equal, and this thought motivates him greatly.
Suho Doesn’t “Solo Level” Anymore, But There’s Still Plenty For SL Fans to Look Forward To
Even though Sung Suho proved that leveling up alone isn’t possible in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the story is far from over. He still needs to become much stronger to fight alongside his father against the Itarim, meaning there’s plenty more to come in the Webtoon. Plus, the official English version will finally be available on Tapas starting November 11th.
Exciting news is circulating about a possible Season 3 of the Solo Leveling anime. This buzz started with a leaked financial document from D&C Media and was amplified by a recent, enthusiastic post from anime producer Atsushi Kaneko on X. While the story of Sung Suho has ended in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the Solo Leveling universe is more popular than ever.
