EastEnders confirms unexpected pregnancy for major character in BBC iPlayer release

EastEnders favourite Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) has discovered that she is pregnant.

Nic received some shocking news at a terrible moment. His son, Harry (played by Elijah Holloway), had just come home from the hospital after being held hostage for weeks and forced to take drugs.

As fans of the BBC One drama are aware, Okie Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) was the one who tied the victim to a bed in Kojo Asare’s (Dayo Koleosho) apartment. He was using the apartment as a headquarters for his drug dealing.

Kojo rescued Harry from being held captive earlier this week. Though Harry was weak and could barely stand, he insisted Kojo prioritize his own safety and go find help.

Unbeknownst to them, Harry’s father, Teddy (Roland Manookian), had just informed Kojo’s brother, George Knight (Colin Salmon), about what was happening. He asked George not to involve the police, fearing it could bring trouble for their families.

Kojo warned the others that Harry was in trouble, and they hurried to George Street. There, they found Okie and his crew forcing a barely conscious Harry into a van. As sirens wailed in the distance, the van sped away, leaving Harry stranded in the road.

George had called the police.

While recovering in the hospital, Harry disregarded Nicola’s warning and identified Ravi Gulati (played by Aaron Thiara) as the leader of the criminal operation. This led to his own arrest on human trafficking charges.

Ravi tried to save himself today by offering information about London’s criminal gangs in return for being released. However, the gangs weren’t just interested in the information – they wanted Ravi to work for them as a mole.

Okay, so things are getting interesting over in Albert Square! Nicola’s trying to patch things up with George, you know, after they had a little fling earlier this year. It seems she ended things pretty quickly, though – apparently, George went off on a rant about Harry hanging out with Kojo, and Nicola just couldn’t deal with that. It’s a bit of drama, but it sets up an interesting dynamic between them now that she’s attempting to make amends.

Nic ran into him at the Minute Mart and asked if they could try getting back together, but he immediately said no.

The news was a shock to the Mitchell family’s mother, and she returned home to gaze at a pregnancy test confirming her suspicions.
