The exciting show Celebrity Race Across the World is returning with a new set of famous faces and their companions, who will be trading in their comfortable lifestyles for a challenging adventure with only backpacks and limited resources.
This season, the four teams are embarking on an incredibly diverse and beautiful journey, traveling along the Caribbean and Pacific coasts of Central America.
Celebrities will once again face a challenging journey, traveling between checkpoints completely on their own. A camera crew will document everything, but they’re instructed to remain silent, even if the celebrities are making mistakes or heading the wrong way.

You know what everyone always asks? If the camera crew ever gives us a little nudge when we’re going the wrong way! Honestly, I have no idea how they pick those crew members – they’re so good at staying out of the way and not giving anything away. They just stay back and let us figure things out on our own, which is wild!
It’s rare to have much interaction with them, and after a few weeks, you’re often completely worn out – exhausted, hungry, and having slept outdoors. That’s when we began wondering if they were aware of our condition.
It’s so strange being around the other contestants. Roman and I often find ourselves getting a little paranoid, constantly checking each other’s reactions and trying to read their faces, but honestly, they seem totally disconnected from us. It’s like they’re not really seeing us as competitors, which is… unsettling, to say the least.
Despite this, there are moments where producers will have to step in if it is absolutely necessary.

Lewis Price, who directs and produces the show, explained that the camera crew will only intervene if a situation becomes dangerous for them.
He pointed out that each pair has highly trained agents providing both security and medical support, just in case of an emergency.
Series producer Phil Lewis explained that someone is always working to ensure people’s safety – whether they’re riding the bus, staying in a hotel, or simply crossing the street. This includes quietly monitoring areas to help people stay aware of their surroundings, especially in less safe neighborhoods.
Celebrity Race Across the World returns to BBC One and iPlayer on Thursday 6th November at 8pm.
