Fantasies Come True – Avenue Q is returning to the West End!
If you haven’t heard of the Tony Award-winning musical from 2004, now’s the time to check it out! It’s a unique show – think of Sesame Street colliding with Rent, but with puppets who aren’t afraid to swear. It playfully mocks both realistic dramas and kids’ shows, creating a performance that’s both incredibly funny and surprisingly edgy.
It’s been 15 years since Avenue Q was last performed in London’s West End, and a revival is long overdue. The new production, set for 2026, will be directed by Jason Moore, who also directed the original Broadway show, and will feature the same puppets from the Broadway version.
If you enjoyed The Book of Mormon, you’ll probably love this show – it has a similar playful and slightly rebellious sense of humor. Avenue Q is only playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre for a limited time, so find out how to get tickets now!
