Just two months after its release on Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is receiving its first downloadable content, called Mega Dimension. This add-on costs $29.99 and features a new quest that takes place after the game’s main story. The quest revolves around a mysterious girl and Hoopa, a recently revealed Mythical Pokémon. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
Strange distortions are appearing all over Lumiose City, and based on what we’ve seen in The Outer Worlds 2, that’s likely a cause for concern. While investigating, the player and Team MZ meet Ansha, who leads them into a new dimension called Hyperspace. This dimension is a warped reflection of Lumiose City, filled with powerful Pokémon—some exceeding level 100—offering a tough challenge for experienced players.
Hoopa can give you an advantage, but it requires effort. You’ll need to find berries for Ansha to use in her power-up doughnuts, and the most valuable berries are found in the challenging Hyperspace.
The update also features Korrina, an expert on Mega Evolution, and the new Mega Forms of Chimecho and Baxcalibur. To unlock Baxcalibur’s Mega Stone, players will need to participate in online Ranked Battles.
If you’re not interested in the downloadable content, you’ll be happy to know you can now get a Diancite Stone through the Mystery Gift feature. This allows you to unlock the side mission “Shine Bright Like a Gemstone” and catch the Legendary Pokémon Diancie, which can then be Mega Evolved.
