However, many of her former colleagues are confirmed to be in the film, making her claim a bit hard to believe. It would be surprising if smaller roles were cast but Marvel didn’t even consider asking Janssen to reprise her iconic role as Phoenix. Though Janssen might be truthful, fans shouldn’t completely rule out a potential, unannounced appearance in Doomsday.

Although Chris Evans has said he’s finished playing Captain America after Avengers: Endgame, he’s been talking a lot about the upcoming Doomsday movie. He even admitted to feeling “left out” seeing many of his former Avengers co-stars returning for more films. Despite his claims, many fans suspect he’ll actually be in the next Avengers movie.

Chris Evans was originally reported to be one of the first actors confirmed for the movie Avengers: Doomsday. A late 2024 article in The Hollywood Reporter stated that he and Haley Atwell would return as their characters. However, Evans has repeatedly said he isn’t involved.
