Kourtney Kardashian is keeping the day of Rocky Barker‘s birth fresh in her mind.
Just five days after celebrating her son Rocky’s second birthday with Travis Barker, the Kardashian family member posted a previously unseen photo of him, taken shortly after his birth in 2023.
On November 6th, Kourtney shared a photo on Instagram of herself relaxing in a hospital bed with her new baby boy. She was wearing gray pajamas and holding her son. To keep Rocky’s face private, she covered it with a heart emoji in the picture. Kourtney is also a mom to Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with her ex, Scott Disick.
Kourtney shared a sweet message about her child’s birth, quoting from Nancy Tillman’s book, On the Night You Were Born. She wrote that the night her baby was born, the moon and stars seemed to celebrate, and the wind seemed to whisper that everything had changed for the better. She added that there had never been, and would never be, anyone quite like her child.
She shared a picture of her children’s book on a soft blanket and wrote a sweet message: “Every angel in heaven celebrated with music the night you were born.”
Rocky’s arrival was a bit of a process! Kourtney went into labor around 8 p.m. on October 29th, and it lasted for three full days.
She told Khloe Kardashian that she wasn’t feeling any pain. As shown on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians, she also mentioned she wasn’t sure if her son’s actual birthday was Halloween or the current day.
Kourtney went into labor on Halloween night, and doctors quickly prepared her for delivery. Her son, Rocky, was born right at midnight on November 1st, timed perfectly with the song “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra playing in the background.
Kourtney said on the show that the song felt absolutely perfect, and its arrival was a clear sign that everything happens at the right time. She described it as a dream come true, saying all the challenges they faced to reach this point made the moment feel incredibly surreal.
She added, “I’m so happy in my blissful baby bubble and the love with Rocky.”

The reality star shared heartfelt thanks, saying, “You always keep us safe, take care of us, and make family life wonderful. I’m so happy to celebrate you!”
