Just days before losing at the 2025 Oscars, he won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role at the SAG Awards for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the film A Complete Unknown.

In an interview with Vogue, Timothée Chalamet discussed how actors react when they don’t win a big award. He said while some actors are gracious in defeat, most are privately very upset, even if they don’t show it. He jokingly admitted that many are likely thinking something along the lines of “Oh no!” when they lose, despite appearing calm.

Timothée Chalamet began his acting career with minor roles in TV shows like Law & Order, Royal Pains, and a few episodes of Homeland. He then transitioned to film, starting with movies such as Interstellar.

Timothée Chalamet’s career took off after appearing in Call Me By Your Name alongside Armie Hammer. The critically acclaimed film, with a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, also earned Chalamet his first Academy Award nomination.

The actor first appeared in films like Lady Bird and Little Women before getting the part of Paul Atreides in Dune, a movie based on a classic science fiction novel, and starring alongside Zendaya. He reprised the role in Dune: Part Two and is currently filming the third movie in the series.
