For weeks, there have been hints that the Silent Hill 2 Remake was coming to Xbox. Now, a listing on the Microsoft Store appears to confirm the game’s release, and it even includes a potential release date!
Silent Hill 2 Remake Launches November 21st on Xbox

According to TrueAchievements.com, the Silent Hill 2 Remake from Bloober Team has been listed on the Microsoft Store. The listing indicates the game will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC, but it doesn’t appear to support Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning progress won’t sync between platforms.
Although the official listing didn’t mention when the game would be released, the team at TrueAchievements discovered a release date hidden within the page’s code: November 21, 2025.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a possible Silent Hill 2 Remake coming to Xbox. Recently, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) listed the game as being available on Xbox Series consoles, as you can see in the image above.
So, besides the release date, I found out some cool extras are coming! They’re doing a Deluxe Edition of the game, and it’s packed with goodies. We’re talking a digital artbook, the full soundtrack, and get this – a Pyramid Head skin that looks like a pizza box! Seriously, a pizza box! It’s a pretty fun little cosmetic.
Plus, the game will be available in a bundle with the newest Silent Hill game, Silent Hill f. If you’re eager to explore eerie, horror-filled towns, this bundle is a great option!
Born From a Wish Is Still Missing

Despite some rumors, the long-awaited “Born from a Wish” DLC hasn’t been officially revealed or spotted anywhere. So far, there’s no concrete evidence it’s actually happening.
If you didn’t know, Born from a Wish was a brief extra story included with the original Silent Hill 2. It first appeared in the Xbox version of the game, and was later added to the Director’s Cut and Greatest Hits versions for the PlayStation 2.
This story focused on Maria before she met James, offering a little more background on her character as introduced in the main narrative. However, most fans and critics didn’t consider it significant due to its brevity.
Despite this, many fans still hoped the game would be included as downloadable content for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, believing it could have added significant depth to the overall experience.
Good news for Xbox players: the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming! Both longtime fans and newcomers have been impressed with the remake, and while Xbox gamers had to wait a bit longer to play, it’s expected to be well worth it.
