Fresh artwork showcases six Marvel heroes teaming up to face Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, before his return in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are reprising their roles after the Daredevil series from the Defenders Saga was officially added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s storyline. The rivalry between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk continued throughout the first season of Born Again, and will be further explored in season 2. The new season will not only see Kingpin back as the Mayor of New York, but will also feature additional heroes from across the MCU.
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again concluded with Matt Murdock vowing to assemble a team to fight against Mayor Fisk and the task force opposing vigilantes. While it’s unknown who will join his cause, recent artwork shared on Instagram hints at the potential return of heroes from the old Marvel Netflix shows, like the Defenders, as well as appearances by Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. With Kingpin’s new laws affecting all New York-based heroes in Daredevil: Born Again, fans are hoping to see these characters team up in the show’s second season.
Who Could Be On Daredevil’s New Defenders Team in the MCU?

Daredevil will be a major focus in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, but he won’t be the only hero appearing. Krysten Ritter is returning as Jessica Jones, which opens the door for other members of the Defenders to potentially reappear as well. Fans are hoping to see Mike Colter and Finn Jones reprise their roles as Luke Cage and Iron Fist, possibly leading to a full Defenders team-up in the new season.
The Punisher, played by Frank Castle, will likely be a major character in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. This will lead to a standalone special featuring the Punisher and an appearance in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day series in July. Some fans speculate this Spider-Man connection could mean Peter Parker will team up with Daredevil, though the agreement between Marvel and Sony regarding Spider-Man could make that complicated. Additionally, Camila Rodriguez’s character, Angela del Toro, is expected to become the White Tiger, continuing her uncle’s legacy, and may also join Daredevil’s team in Born Again season 2.
With Kingpin now targeting vigilantes in New York City, several other heroes could be affected and potentially team up with Daredevil. This includes characters like Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Doctor Strange, and Iron Fist, as well as the newly formed New Avengers. It would be exciting to see any of them make an appearance in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, and Daredevil’s team could become a major force in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.
