2025 Helps Disney Continue 4-Year Global Box Office Streak

It’s been a mixed year for the studio, with both successes and challenges. Despite facing some controversies, they remain a major force in the industry.

Disney has been in the news recently for various reasons, including issues with Jimmy Fallon, changes to Hulu, and disagreements with YouTube TV. But the company has also had some positive news lately. According to reports, Disney has officially surpassed $4 billion in worldwide revenue for the fourth year in a row.

I’m so impressed with Disney’s success this year! They’ve really dominated the box office again, and it’s amazing to see them achieve over a billion dollars with their live-action Lilo & Stitch remake. What’s even more incredible is that right now, they’re the only major Hollywood studio to have a film reach that milestone – trailing only the Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2, which has earned over two billion! Last year was huge for them too, with Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Moana 2 all breaking the billion-dollar mark. They consistently deliver such fantastic entertainment.

The latest installment in the series has now earned over $4.07 billion. It brought in $40 million domestically and another $40 million internationally during its opening weekend, totaling $80 million worldwide. This new film set two records: it had the biggest opening weekend of any Predator movie, and it received the best audience score (CinemaScore) in the franchise’s history. Predator: Badlands is the first film in the series released under Disney, following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and further solidifies Disney’s success.
