BioWare recently shared an update about the next Mass Effect game for N7 Day (November 7th). Fans have been analyzing the update – a blog post from executive producer Mike Gamble – and discovered hidden clues. These clues led to the unveiling of new Mass Effect artwork depicting the Krogan Civil War, a significant event in the game’s history.
Okay, so I was digging around in a recent post and found this hidden message! It was a bunch of italicized letters, and when you put them together, they spelled out “URL KROGAN”. Then, the official Mass Effect account dropped another hint – a link that looked like “https://www.masseffect[dot]com/[ERROR A20N7S12]”. Turns out, it was a code! Each letter in the error message stood for another letter – like ‘N’ was ‘7’. We figured out the code gave us the number “411826207”, and when you plug that into the BioWare link, it takes you right to the download for the awesome Korgan Civil War artwork! It was a pretty cool puzzle, honestly.
Fans spent the weekend trying to solve a recent puzzle, and BioWare’s Mike Gamble also shared an update on social media about the ongoing Mass Effect project. He acknowledged that some fans were hoping for more news during the N7 Day celebration, but explained that the studio isn’t quite ready to reveal everything just yet.
I understand the frustration about not sharing more news on N7 Day,” Gamble explained. “I’m a fan myself and want you all to see what we’re working on, but the timing isn’t right just yet. It has been a while since the initial announcement, and yes, we’ve been busy, but we are now fully focused on Mass Effect.
In a recent N7 Day post, BioWare’s Gamble shared that the studio had been very busy following the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and news of EA’s plans. Despite everything happening, Gamble emphasized that the team is now completely dedicated to Mass Effect, with plenty of story, features, and romantic options still to develop.
Gamble shared that the team is really enthusiastic about the project they’re working on and promised a big reveal when it’s ready. They also thanked everyone for their patience, acknowledging the excitement and playful speculation about hints they might drop online. Gamble even admitted to occasionally hiding clues in their tweets.
BioWare confirmed a new Mass Effect game was in the very early stages of development back in January. Since then, the studio has been reorganized to concentrate on finishing one project at a time, instead of juggling several games simultaneously.

I understand the frustration about not sharing more Mass Effect news on N7 Day. I’m a fan myself and want to show you all what we’ve been working on! It hasn’t been a short wait since the announcement, and we’ve been very busy, but we are now fully focused on Mass Effect. The time to share more will come, but it’s not quite right yet.
