As a big streaming fan, I’ve noticed it’s not just about what comes to Netflix each month, but also what sadly leaves. November was tough – they took away so many favorites, like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, all the Shrek movies, and even the original Jurassic Park trilogy! And it hasn’t stopped there. They’re removing another gem soon, a really clever sitcom that I think deserves way more attention, and I’m urging everyone to watch it before it’s gone.
Fans of the sitcom A.P. Bio will be disappointed to learn that all four seasons are leaving Netflix on November 15th, just a year after the show joined the streaming service. Created by Mike O’Brien and executive produced by Seth Meyers, the series stars Glenn Howerton (known from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) as Jack Griffin, a former Harvard professor who loses his way. Forced to return to his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, he takes a job teaching at the made-up Whitlock High School. Despite being hired to teach AP Biology, Griffin mostly uses his students to help him get revenge on those who have wronged him.
The comedy series A.P. Bio has been canceled twice. It originally aired on NBC for two seasons in 2018 before being dropped, but was then revived by Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, for another two seasons. However, it was canceled again in 2021. While fans could still watch it online, it will soon be removed from Netflix.
A.P. Bio Is an Underrated Sitcom You Need to See
With only a few days remaining before all four seasons of A.P. Bio are removed from Netflix, now is the time to watch this hilarious NBC sitcom. While it wasn’t a massive hit with audiences, A.P. Bio gained a loyal following and consistently impressed critics. In fact, the show boasts an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with seasons two and three achieving a perfect 100% score from critics.
The best thing about A.P. Bio is its fantastic cast. The show started by focusing on one grumpy main character, but it quickly grew into a show with lots of different storylines and well-developed characters. It became a workplace comedy, much like popular shows such as Community or Parks and Recreation. It’s the cast, their connections, and the wild situations they get into that make the show so funny. However, A.P. Bio isn’t just about laughs; it also has surprisingly heartfelt and emotional moments.
Where to Stream A.P. Bio After It Leaves Netflix?
Fans of the show A.P. Bio will still be able to watch all four seasons, even though it’s leaving Netflix on November 15th. The show is owned by Universal Television and seasons 3 and 4 originally appeared on Peacock, so all four seasons are now available exclusively on that streaming service. While it might show up on another platform eventually, Peacock is currently the only place to stream A.P. Bio outside of buying or renting episodes.
