If you were hoping to see updates on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 or Kingdom Hearts 4 during the recent State of Play, you might have been let down. However, there’s good news: Square Enix announced a free demo for Octopath Traveler 0 will be released today for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
The initial three hours of the game include the prologue and first chapter. Because this is an Octopath Traveler game, you’ll actually play through multiple character storylines during this time. You’ll battle three challenging bosses and begin the “Kindlers of the Flame” arc, which introduces the new town-building feature.
Players can also create and customize their own character, and everything they create carries over to the full game, letting them jump in with a head start.
Octopath Traveler 0 will be available on December 4th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the new Nintendo Switch 2.
