Okay, so I was super excited when AI: The Somnium Files came out on Nintendo Switch, but now PlayStation fans get a turn! It’s hitting PS5 and PS4 on February 26th, which is awesome news. I can’t wait to dive back in (or play it for the first time) on my PlayStation!
The game will be released digitally for both PlayStation consoles, and a physical copy will also be available on PS5. If you purchase the game directly from Spike Chunsoft’s store, you can also get a special edition that includes a tote bag – it looks pretty cool!
As the name indicates, this is part of the AI: The Somnium Files series.

You play as detective Kaname Date, and you’ll partner with the AI-Ball, Aiba, once again. This time, you’re investigating a dangerous game that’s captured internet idol Iris. The game introduces a new ‘Escape’ element where you’ll solve puzzles to break out of locked rooms. Like previous games, you’ll also investigate crime scenes and explore the dream worlds of suspects – called ‘Somnium’ – to gather clues and solve the mystery. Switching between these three gameplay sections – Investigation, Somnium, and Escape – is key to progressing the case.
