Battlefield Studios is continuing to support Battlefield 6 with updates. A developer recently announced on social media that an upcoming patch – following version 1.1.1.5 – will address issues like players getting stuck bouncing on the ground, problems with class abilities, and a limit on the frame rate when using Nvidia Reflex technology.
I’ve been following the updates on Battlefield 6, and it’s good to see the developers are still working hard to fix things! Battlefield Bulletin shared that they’re digging into a bunch of other issues too, like problems with how guns recoil and aim, and also with the network code and how accurately shots register. They also mentioned that this next update won’t be tweaking aim assist, which is good to know for those of us who rely on it!
Battlefield Studios has been sharing updates about improvements coming to their multiplayer shooter. Recently, the developers announced on social media that they’re reworking the Challenges and Assignments system. They explained that the goal is to make these challenges easier to understand and more focused on rewarding skill and regular play, rather than just the amount of time players spend in the game.
So, Battlefield just dropped an update, and honestly, it’s a huge relief! They’ve seriously dialed back how much we have to grind for challenges and assignments. It used to feel like you needed to dedicate hours to unlock stuff, but now it feels much more reasonable. They’ve tweaked things so the requirements actually match how long you’d normally play in a session. It still rewards you for being good and playing regularly, but it’s way less of a time commitment, which is awesome.
The developers fixed a problem in the new Strikepoint game mode that allowed players to unfairly earn large amounts of experience. These changes were made to ensure everyone progresses at a fair and consistent rate.
The developers recently discovered a problem that was reducing the amount of experience points (XP) players earned in Strikepoint mode. They’ve temporarily adjusted XP rates while they work on a permanent fix to ensure everyone progresses fairly. They appreciate players’ patience and will share updates as they make further changes.
Battlefield Studios has faced criticism for the map sizes in Battlefield 6, particularly after the release of Battlefield: RedSec. David Sirland, the game’s lead producer, acknowledged these concerns, stating that the game needs bigger maps to provide players with more expansive and engaging environments. He confirmed on social media that they are working to deliver more of these large, open spaces.
Even with all the problems it’s had, Battlefield 6 is actually doing pretty well! I read a report last week that it’s already sold over ten million copies since it came out in October. But, according to an analyst, it probably won’t be enough to beat Call of Duty as the most popular shooter this year – at least, not yet.
