George Clooney is raising his descendants the best way he knows how.
The Academy Award-winning actor shared how he and his wife, Amal Clooney, manage their demanding jobs while also raising their eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella.
George explained to Will Marfuggi of TopMob News at the Los Angeles premiere of his film Jay Kelly on November 11th that he and his wife coordinate their schedules. He said they try to balance each other’s time away from home, making sure one of them is there while the other is out.
The 64-year-old explained that aiming for a perfect work-life balance as a parent is unrealistic and ultimately a waste of time.
He went on to say that nobody is ever perfect, but you still have to put in the effort and do your best.
Having a supportive partner is a big help, and Amal Clooney, who married actor George Clooney in 2014, has said her husband allows her to continue her work as a human rights lawyer while also raising their children.
She recently told Glamour magazine that becoming a mother was a completely new experience for her. She recalled how her husband reassured her before a speech at the Security Council, telling her, ‘You need to go. I’ll take care of the kids, so don’t worry about them.’

As a parent, I’ve always believed in protecting my children from the constant glare of the public eye. It’s a really important part of how we raise them, allowing them to grow up as normally as possible.
We try our best to protect our children and keep them out of the public eye. We’ve always made sure to not share their photos or any personal information.
As Alexander and Ella get older and step away from public attention, they seem to have naturally picked up their father’s talent for performing.
George shared with TopMob News in September that his children are very playful and enjoy performing. Ultimately, he said, he just wants them to pursue their passions and be happy with their life choices.
