In the initial launch of Oblivion Remastered, players found that it still contained many of the bugs and glitches present in the original game, which was disappointing to fans who expected a smoother experience with the visual upgrades and level improvements. The first update addressed numerous long-standing issues, but unfortunately introduced new frame rate hiccups. Now, a fresh update for Oblivion Remastered has been released, focusing on enhancing performance, ironing out bugs, and further refining the user interface. Currently, this update can only be accessed through Steam’s Beta branch, with plans to expand availability to other platforms shortly.
Today’s update on Oblivion Remastered (version 1.2) is now available on the Steam Beta branch. This update continues to address and resolve quest and gameplay bugs, as well as improving overall performance. Bethesda hasn’t specified an exact release date for other platforms. But, the patch notes for the Steam Beta version offer a glimpse of what players can anticipate when Version 1.2 is rolled out across all platforms.
In my opinion, what stands out most is the claim that the update aims to rectify missing map markers. Being an avid user of map markers, it’s frustrating when quest icons vanish or malfunction, leaving me disoriented in the wilderness. Additionally, the update plans to address some other quest issues, such as those that led to game crashes.
