Nick Moran first became well-known for his part in Guy Ritchie’s film ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,’ which also helped launch the careers of actors like Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones.
Since then, he’s remained consistently busy, appearing in the final Harry Potter films (Deathly Hallows) and numerous other movies, building an extensive filmography. However, he’s known for more than just acting. He’s also an award-winning writer, having penned the successful West End play Telstar, which he then adapted and directed for the big screen to widespread praise. He’s since directed two more films, The Kid and Creation Stories, both based on true stories and well-received. Currently, he’s hoping to begin work on a new project – he was preparing for a crucial meeting when we last spoke!
It was a blast talking to Nick! He shared a lot about his career, including fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from films like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Harry Potter, and his work with Guy Ritchie, as well as many other movies. He also talked about some of his personal favorites. Packed with hilarious anecdotes, this is our longest episode in the Favourite Films series, and it’s definitely worth watching.
