With Thanksgiving just around the corner, there’s plenty to look forward to on Netflix! Recent releases like Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein and In Your Dreams have been popular, and that excitement will continue next week. Netflix is adding new TV shows and movies for five days straight, including some of the most anticipated originals this month.
This week’s looking good for movie nights! We’re starting with some solid picks like Blue Beetle and Zodiac, but I’m really excited about what’s coming later in the week. On Thursday, Netflix is dropping new seasons of A Man on the Inside – Ted Danson is always great – and the latest from Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, which I’ve been waiting for!
This Friday, Netflix will release the highly praised film Train Dreams. It’s already been a hit at film festivals and is expected to be a strong contender for awards this year.
You can find the full lineup of this week’s Netflix additions below!

Okay, let me tell you about Gerry Dee’s new Netflix special, Funny You Should Say That. This guy is seriously dryly funny – in the best way. He mines a lot of material from his days as a teacher, which sounds like a total disaster, and then dives into some surprisingly relatable stuff like the idea of open marriages and, believe it or not, the truth about Santa. It’s a solid hour of comedy, and Dee’s delivery is just spot-on. If you like observational humor with a bit of an edge, definitely check it out.

As a true crime doc enthusiast, I recently watched The Carman Family Deaths on Netflix, and it’s a real rollercoaster. It starts with this incredible sea rescue, but then quickly turns into a story about accusations of murder. It’s about a young man and his wealthy New England family, and it’s just a wild ride trying to figure out what really happened.
In the Netflix film Champagne Problems, a successful businesswoman goes to France with a big task: to buy a famous champagne company before the holidays. However, things get complicated when she unexpectedly falls in love with a captivating local man, who turns out to be the son of the company’s owner.
Envious, Season 3 (AR) is a Netflix series about Vicky, who seems to have a perfect life with a great boyfriend, successful career, and expanding family. The show explores whether she can learn to appreciate what she has or if she’s destined to ruin her own happiness.
The Netflix film, The Son of a Thousand Men, tells the story of a solitary fisherman in a quiet village who desperately wants a son. He’s captivated by a mysterious light that connects him to other people and reveals secrets from the past.

In Season 2 of the Netflix series A Man on the Inside, Charles infiltrates a college campus to solve a case. The investigation proves challenging, with both the suspects and the evidence being surprisingly erratic, and the situation quickly becomes very personal for him.
The Netflix film, The Follies, centers around six women connected by a common experience: mental instability. The film explores how everyone grapples with moments of crisis that force them to re-evaluate their lives and make significant changes.
In The Great British Baking Show: Holidays Season 8, available on Netflix, beloved bakers and special guests compete in the iconic white tent. They aim to impress judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood with their festive and delicious creations.
In season 4 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, the group of six friends who were previously stationed on Nublar Island face their biggest challenges yet. They must work together to protect endangered dinosaurs, overcome major obstacles, and ensure their own survival.

Ed Sheeran’s One Shot is a new Netflix film that follows the singer as he performs his biggest songs live on the streets of New York City in a unique, real-time musical experience.
Train Dreams is a Netflix film based on the acclaimed story by Denis Johnson. It tells the touching story of Robert Grainier, a lumberjack and railway worker, and his surprisingly meaningful life as America changed dramatically in the early 1900s.
