25 Years Later, One Piece’s Anime Reveals the Fate of One of the Oldest Villains

The anime One Piece follows the Straw Hat crew as they travel to various islands and encounter many different characters, both friends and enemies. Over the show’s 26-year run, numerous side characters have appeared, but many haven’t returned to the main story. This includes villains from the East Blue Saga, the first part of One Piece where Luffy meets key members of his crew and begins his journey on the Grand Line. The Grand Line is a notoriously dangerous place, often called the Pirate Graveyard, due to its treacherous seas and the powerful pirates who seek the legendary treasure hidden there. Don Krieg was one such pirate who had ambitious goals before setting sail for the Grand Line.

He was a powerful pirate in the East Blue, leading a fleet of 5,000 ships. Unfortunately, he had a run-in with Dracule Mihawk, who decimated most of his fleet when they got in his way. Despite this major defeat, Krieg continued to cause trouble in the East Blue. During the Baratie Arc, his loyal second-in-command, Gin, stood by his side. Recently, in One Piece Episode 1150, the pair reappeared after more than 25 years.

One Piece Episode 1150 Reveals Don Krieg Is Up to

After their defeat at Baratie, Don Krieg and his crew disappeared, and fans never learned what they planned to do next. We last saw them in Episode 29, where Gin, Krieg’s loyal second-in-command, realized they were losing and tried to convince Krieg to retreat. When Krieg refused, Gin knocked him unconscious and left, and neither he nor the crew were ever seen again. Despite losing most of his fleet and facing numerous defeats, Krieg somehow continued his pirate career and eventually reached the New World.

He became part of Blackbeard’s pirate crew while in Hachinosu, and his motivations are currently unknown. Meanwhile, in the latest episode, Vegapunk’s shocking broadcast continues, showing reactions from around the world. Most people don’t believe him, and some are openly making fun of his claims. The episode also briefly shows Don Krieg, Gin, and Pearl, another important member of a pirate crew, as they watch the broadcast.
