Robin Hood star teases potential season 2 as Sean Bean series approaches finale next month

Robin Hood star Jack Patten has said he “would love to do” a potential second season.

The new MGM+ series reimagines the classic Robin Hood story, with rising star Patten in the lead role and Lauren McQueen as Maid Marian.

Tom Patten said they’re very interested in making a second season of Robin Hood, calling it ‘awesome’ in an interview with Manchester Evening News.

He praised the characters created by Jonathan English and John Glenn, saying, “As actors, we really appreciate a character with development, and these characters definitely have that.”

Echoing his comments, McQueen said she’d “definitely” be up for returning if the series is renewed.

She said the season wraps up in a compelling way for all the characters. While there’s potential for more story, they focused on making season one the best it could be.

She added that the cast is full of incredibly talented newcomers, and she can’t wait for audiences to discover them.

“We were just like a big family at the end and I think you can really see that energy on screen.”

The film also stars Sean Bean, known for his roles in Game of Thrones and This City Is Ours, and Connie Nielsen, who appeared in Gladiator II, completing the main cast alongside Patten and McQueen.

Lydia Peckham plays the role of Priscilla from Nottingham, and Steven Waddington joins the cast as the Earl of Huntingdon.

The show began on November 2nd with the first two episodes, and new episodes will be released every Sunday after that.

The season finale is scheduled to air on 28th December.

Robin Hood is available to watch on MGM+.
