Alice Haig, who plays Vicki Fowler on EastEnders, has hinted that Vicki might be facing a difficult choice between her current boyfriend, Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw), and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) after she kissed Zack in the latest episode.
As viewers witnessed last night, Vicki stepped in when she saw Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) on a date with a married man. Vicki realized he was buying Chelsea extra drinks, seemingly to take advantage of her.
She overheard him talking to his wife, and he advised Chelsea not to get too involved. She believed all men viewed women only as objects of desire, and thought they were all the same in that regard.
She arrives after a brutal attack by her stepson, Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who had been influenced by a hateful, anti-woman online group.

Vicki and Chelsea’s date, Damon, clashed again. She followed him into the laundry room, and a fight broke out. When Damon approached her, Vicki pushed him, causing him to fall and lose consciousness.
Luckily, Zack rushed to her rescue today.
“Zack turning up at the right moment and helping Vicki is a massive thing for her,” Haig explained.
Honestly, what’s really bothering Vicki right now is that she feels Ross didn’t have her back when she needed him. She keeps thinking about all the times he could have stepped in, protected her, and just made sure she was okay, and it’s really upsetting her that he didn’t.
As a movie lover, I always get really invested in characters, and when someone finally has a person who truly has their back – someone who cares about them and protects them – it’s incredibly moving. It just feels so powerful to see that kind of support.
When Damon woke up, he was adamant about leaving and dropping the issue. Vicki watched, frightened by what might happen, but thankfully she was able to get out of the situation safely.

When she got home, she finally shared what she’d been struggling with, and asked Zack if he truly wanted to hear all of her thoughts and feelings.
Haig explained that Vicki is a private person who doesn’t easily share her feelings, so it means a lot when she trusts Zack enough to confide in him.
Zack is really being there for her right now, actively listening and showing he cares. This is helping her feel comfortable enough to open up about what she’s going through.
The conversation shifted to a lighter mood when Vicki found out Zack was on a dating app. In a playful moment, she attempted to peek at his profile, and they ended up kissing.

Oh my gosh, it was such a shock! We were having a really special moment when suddenly, Kathy Beale – my great aunt, played by Gillian Taylforth – walked in and caught us! It was totally unexpected and a bit awkward, to say the least.
She pleaded with Kath to keep what happened a secret from her sister, Sharon, and their mother, Michelle. She explained it was a spontaneous thing that neither she nor Zack wanted to pursue further.
Honestly, watching Vicki after Ross showed up was heartbreaking. He basically told her he wasn’t going anywhere, even with everything going on with Joel, and you could just feel the wave of guilt wash over her. It was a really tough scene to watch, seeing her grapple with that while he offered his support.
She and Zack ended the night by playfully texting each other, leaving people to wonder if something more might develop between them.

Vicki told Kathy it was a temporary lapse in judgment and wouldn’t repeat, but it’s hard to be certain.
I think it would work wonderfully! Zack and Ross are very different people with unique personalities, but they’re both genuinely good guys.
“I can completely understand why Vicky might be torn between them!”
