Yerin Ha will be appearing in season 4 of Bridgerton as Benedict’s love interest. Their story, much like the novels, begins at a masquerade ball where Ha’s character, Sophie, is disguised as the Lady in Silver. Benedict is immediately drawn to her and becomes determined to learn who she really is after their first encounter.
When Sophie returns dressed as a maid, Benedict fails to realize she’s the same woman he met at the masquerade ball. This misunderstanding drives the main storyline, as the woman he’s searching for is actually right in front of him. Her disguise highlights how significant her role as a maid will be throughout the fourth season.

Season 4 of Bridgerton will not only introduce Sophie, but also shift away from the show’s previous style. At the end of season 3, Penelope stopped writing as the secretive Lady Whistledown and began writing more openly as herself, with a hopeful tone.
