I’m still buzzing about the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie! It absolutely smashed records, becoming the first Japanese film ever to earn over 100 billion yen worldwide – seriously incredible! It even outperformed all the big Marvel and DC releases this year, and it’s still climbing the charts. Everyone – fans and critics alike – are loving it, and it’s really raised the bar for future anime films. It’s going to be tough for anything to top it, honestly! And to celebrate all this success, the amazing creator Koyoharu Gotouge is coming back with a special illustration that will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump’s Issue #52 on November 24th, 2025. I can’t wait!
The creator of Demon Slayer, Gotouge, will express gratitude to fans for watching the new movie. As a thank you to those who continue to support the series, a special illustration will be given out in theaters. This news comes from @WSJ_manga, a trusted source for updates on Shonen Jump manga. While Demon Slayer has been incredibly popular, Gotouge hasn’t started a new manga series since finishing the original over five years ago. Fans are eager for any new content from the author, whether it’s a new series or even just new artwork.
The Upcoming Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Films Have Big Shoes to Fill

What happened so far was just the beginning – the battles are only going to get harder from now on. Muzan has imprisoned all the Demon Slayers within the inescapable Infinity Castle, leaving them with no option but to fight the strong demons they face. While lower-level demons aren’t a huge threat, defeating even one of the Upper Rank demons is nearly impossible, even with multiple Hashira working together.
The first part of the series delivered three incredibly exciting battles, filled with emotional moments and compelling character backgrounds, and quickly built to a fever pitch. Its popularity has been unprecedented in the anime world, creating huge anticipation for what comes next. Fans who have read the manga know the upcoming fights in Parts 2 and 3 will be even more intense. Currently, the creators don’t plan to release the “Infinity Castle” film for streaming this year, as it’s still being shown in theaters in many locations.
Ufotable hasn’t given any news about the second part of the film, so fans will have to wait longer than anticipated. As for the final story arc, the Sunrise Countdown Arc, it’s unclear how Demon Slayer will adapt it – details won’t be revealed until the Infinity Castle Arc is finished in the anime.
