Steve Martin Details Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco’s “Beautiful” Wedding

Steve Martin felt only love in Selena Gomez’s romantic venue. 

Shortly after his Only Murders in the Building co-star got married to Benny Blanco in California, he shared some of his favorite moments from the small, private wedding.

Oh my gosh, I was SO thrilled to hear Steve talking about the wedding! He told Entertainment Tonight that it was absolutely beautiful – he said it twice! And honestly, it just confirmed what I already knew: the groom is one incredibly lucky man! But Steve also pointed out he’s super talented and funny, which, like, duh! Everyone knows it!

As for the “highlight” of the wedding? The All of Me actor said, “Just being there.” 

Okay, so I was totally keeping up with everything, and it wasn’t just Steve who saw Selena and her fiancé finally get married in September! Apparently, a bunch of her Only Murders in the Building family were there – Martin Short, Paul Rudd, Ashley Park, and even Cara Delevingne! And get this – her Wizards of Waverly Place brother and sister, David Henrie and Jennifer Stone, were there too! Can you believe it?! Plus, Taylor Swift and SZA were guests! I’m seriously living for all of this, it was the event of the year!

Just after her wedding, 33-year-old Selena posted a glimpse of the celebration, showing herself playfully spinning in her elegant white Ralph Lauren dress – a tea-length gown with an off-the-shoulder design.

She shared on Instagram on October 3rd that she was busy writing her wedding vows and ended up leaving the reception a bit early.

I was so thrilled to see Selena sharing a glimpse into her wedding preparations! She posted a sweet look at her writing her vows and even showed off her veil. And after she and Benny, 37, officially tied the knot, they celebrated their love with a romantic trip to the beach – it was just perfect to see!

The producer, who previously collaborated with Selena on her 2015 album Revival, also shared a cherished memory from the wedding on Instagram, posting a picture of them dancing at the reception.

And true to their sweet chemistry, Benny vowed in the caption: “Promise to love you forever.”  

Even though it’s been a few months since their magical wedding, Selena is still feeling incredibly happy.

She described the experience as a dream so far, telling Zane Lowe in an Apple Music interview on November 13th that while she expects ups and downs, she couldn’t imagine sharing it with a more wonderful person.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco started dating in July 2023, shortly after Gomez’s birthday, according to Blanco in an interview on the Howard Stern Show in May 2024.

Rumors about their relationship didn’t start until late 2023. In December of that year, Selena confirmed the speculation by publicly sharing her feelings for Benny on Instagram, saying he’s “my absolute everything.”

She went on to say that he was the best thing that had ever happened in her life, and that she still felt he was better than anyone she’d ever been with.

Okay, so I saw Selena Gomez’s birthday post for Benny Blanco and it was just so sweet! She basically gushed about everything she loves about him – his strength, how positive he is, his incredible talent (she’s a huge fan!), his funny personality, and most of all, his kind heart. It was a really touching message and just felt so genuine. It’s lovely to see someone express their affection so openly!
