Borderlands 4 came out over two months ago, and for a while, players have been dealing with frustrating performance problems and crashes.
Thankfully, Gearbox has already made improvements to many of these problems. They say a recent update increased performance by about 20%.
The game is currently experiencing both performance problems and a shortage of content. To improve things, Gearbox has released a significant update with numerous fixes, and a new, free downloadable content pack.

Gearbox revealed on their blog that the first free Bounty Pack, called ‘How Rush Saved Mercenary Day,’ is now available.
Get ready for a special treat! Gearbox is giving away the first Bounty Pack for Borderlands 4 to all players as a thank you – and they promise there’s more to come!
Gearbox has more in store, including several big changes designed to make the game even more enjoyable and thrilling.
Borderlands 4’s New Update Just Released Along with a Free DLC
So what exactly does Borderlands 4’s new update bring to the table?
We’ve made it simpler to find the best upgrades for your current character. The drop rate for character-specific Class Mods has been improved, so you’ll spend less time searching and more time perfecting your build. You can still collect Class Mods for other characters, but you’ll find the ones you need for your current character much more often.

We’ve also improved the teammate revival process, so you’ll experience fewer unwanted movements or interruptions while bringing them back to their feet.
As a player who loves hunting for awesome gear, I’m really excited about the new Legendary Loot Indicator! Seriously, anyone who’s spent hours grinding for a specific item knows how annoying it is to sort through tons of loot. This new feature should make finding those rare drops SO much easier.
This patch includes a lot of improvements and fixes. For a complete list of everything that’s new, check out the detailed patch notes.

Gearbox plans to expand the game with new challenges for players after completing the main story. They’re also working on features that will let players share progress between different platforms and improve how character development works.
