Where to Get Lingering Melodies in Where Winds Meet

As a big fan of Where Winds Meet, I’ve been figuring out the best way to get Lingering Melodies. They’re basically the super valuable currency you use for the gacha system – think of them like premium tickets in other gacha games, but even more valuable. The tricky part is, they’re also a lot pricier to get in this game than in most others! Don’t worry, though, you can earn them without spending any real money, it just takes a bit more effort. I’ve been compiling a list of all the ways we know of to get your hands on them, so here’s everything I’ve found so far.

Jianghu Treasure Shop

You can purchase up to two Lingering Melodies with Echo Jades at the Jianghu Treasure Shop, found within the in-game shop’s Items section. Each melody costs 200 Echo Jades, but keep in mind the shop’s inventory changes every week. Despite this limitation, it’s one of the most consistent ways to get Lingering Melodies without spending premium currency.

Seasonal Shop

You can purchase Lingering Melodies from the Seasonal Shop, similar to how you buy them from the Jianghu Treasure Shop. Each one costs 200 Echo Jades. To access the shop, open the menu by pressing Escape or Start, then choose the ‘Season’ option. You can only buy one Lingering Melody per week, and you’ll need to earn 20,000 Jade Fish through gameplay before you can purchase it.

Essence of Heaven and Earth Shops

When you try for new characters in Where Winds Meet using the gacha system, you’ll receive either Essences of Earth or Essences of Heaven. You get Essences of Earth from the Solemn Echo banner and Essences of Heaven from the Celestial Echo banner. You can use these to buy items in their respective shops, including Lingering Melodies. However, you can’t consistently get them this way, as you need to participate in the gacha pulls themselves first.

Meow Meow Shop

You can find Meow Meow Temple Shops in both Qinghe and Kaifeng. At each shop, you can buy up to two Lingering Melodies. These shops use Bells as currency, which you earn by completing Meow Meow’s challenges found throughout the world. Look for red swords sticking out of the ground – interacting with one will start a challenge.

Martial Fellowship

Throughout the game world, you’ll encounter martial artists practicing in certain locations. If you’re strong enough to take them on, you can challenge them to a duel. Winning a duel rewards you with 1 Lingering Melody and other items. Look for sword icons on your map to find these martial artists.

Zhao Feiyan’s Warehouse

In Where Winds Meet, you can buy a Lingering Melody from an NPC in the Kaifeng area. This NPC, Zhao Feiyan, is located far north of Kaifeng City, but you’ll need to complete a short quest for him before he’ll trade with you.

Premium Currency and Monthly Fund

If you’d like to obtain Lingering Melodies quickly, you can simply purchase them from the in-game shop using Echo Beads, the game’s premium currency. Each Lingering Melody costs 160 Echo Beads. A good way to earn these is by subscribing to the Monthly Fund, which gives you 300 Echo Beads immediately, plus 100 Echo Jades each day for a month. If you subscribe, you’ll receive one Lingering Melody on the 20th day of your subscription.
