Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix has had to withdraw completely from the show due to an injury.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star has withdrawn from this weekend’s competition due to an injury, it was confirmed earlier this week.
During tonight’s live show (November 22nd), Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman shared unfortunate news: La Voix has had to leave the competition due to medical reasons.
The pair later confirmed there would be no elimination this week and, therefore no dance off.
Tess, the show’s host, announced that La Voix unfortunately injured herself and won’t be able to perform in Blackpool this evening.
She added that, after consulting with their medical team, they were very sorry to announce she had to pull out of the competition.
Her fellow Strictly host Claudia added that the star will be interviewed on the Sunday show.
“We will be speaking from La Voix in tomorrow night’s show, we love you so, so much,” she said.
Even though well-known contestants are competing this week, they’ll still be trying their best, because their scores will affect their standing in the following show.
La Voix had previously shared her deep disappointment about having to cancel her performances this weekend in Blackpool.
I’m so disappointed to share that I can’t perform due to an injury. It really hurts knowing I’ll have to miss dancing at such a special place.
Aljaž and I put a lot of effort into our performance, and we were really looking forward to sharing it. I’m heartbroken that an injury will keep me from continuing on the show, but I’m now concentrating on getting better. I’ll be supporting all the other dancers this weekend.
I was so relieved when a Strictly rep said La Voix would automatically go through to the next week! Everyone was hoping she’d feel better and be able to dance again soon, and it was great they were giving her the chance to recover.
